Lemon Meltaways3/4 cup cold margarine, 1/3 cup powder sugar, 1 1/2 cup flour 1 1/2 cup sugar 3 tbls flour 4 tbls lemon juice (2 lemons = 4 tbls) Beat all ingredients together. Pour over baked pastry and bake another 20 mins. Sift powder sugar over top. Note: Usually I do 2 siftings of powder sugar, once lightly when hot, and once when cookie's are cool and before slicing. Slice into bars. |
