Made this not too long ago, now I wonder why it took me so long..lol!!
An easy, great dessert!
Feel free to be creative, try different pie fillings, the possibilities are endless!!

Cherry Dump Cake
or
Easy Fruit Cobbler

1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple,
(I used stuff in natural juice)
1 can (21 oz) Cherry Pie filling,
(I used lite)
1 box plain yellow cake mix
( no pudding in mix, this is the perfect recipe for less expensive store brands!!)
1 1/2 stick butter or I Can't Believe Its Not ButterŪ, melted
(what I used, worked very well)
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut (optional)
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate pieces or 2 squares bittersweet chocolate, chopped (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a 13 by 9 inch ungreased pan, spoon pineapple evenly over the bottom (juice and all!!)
Follow with the pie filling.
Carefully sprinkle the cake mix over the top of the fruit, being sure to cover it
Drizzle melted butter over dry mix, being sure to try to cover it all
Add nuts, coconut and chocolate (if using)
Put in oven, bake 50 to 60 minutes or until a dark golden brown and topping tests done with a toothpick.
Remove from oven cool about 10 minutes.
Serve warm with whipped topping or ice cream.....YUMMMMMMY.....Soo easy, its almost unbelievable!!
