Irish Soda Bread1 cup raisins 1/2 cup Sugar 1 Egg 2 tsp Baking soda 2 tbls Oil 1 1/2 tsp Caraway seed 1 1/2 cup Buttermilk Grease a round cake pan. Combine sugar, egg, oil and buttermilk, mix well. In a med bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add wet to dry, also add raisins, mixing until Just moist, but blended. Lightly floured hands as dough is a little sticky.. and press bread dough evenly into pan to fill pan. With a knife, cut a large X across the whole top of the bread. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
