"Watch out!" yelled Skye

Everyone ducked on command and just barely missed a VERY large Charizard's flamethrower.

"That was close" said Misao

"VERY close" added Darren

"Guys, we've gotta move fast, that thing's coming back" said Cozmo

"Leave it up to me" said Mike

"Look, I can do this much better than you. Let me get this guy" argued Cozmo

"I'm obviously stonger than you'll ever be, so back off Cozmo" responded Mike

"Look, why do you always have to act like the hero?" said Cozmo

"Because I AM" Mike said

"Look, guys, this isn't really the time for this" said Skye

"Yeah, you'll have to finish this little fight of yours later" added Janice

"Because the Charizard's coming back!" yelled Misao and Darren

The Charizard flew down to the small group and landed on the ground, causing it to shake. It then threw it's head up to the sky and let out a roar. Everyone sent out their pokemon and prepared to battle.

-----In the forest-----

"Hey, does anybody remember which way we came?" asked Billy

"Ummm...no clue, I though you were going to remember" said Sarah

"Oops" said Billy "What are we going to do now?"

"I know! Jason, try contacting Janice telepathically, she'll help us" said Sarah

"o...k..." said Jason blankly

-a few minutes later-

"Did you get through?" asked Sarah

"Umm...I think there's something wrong with the connection" said Jason

"Huh?" said Billy "How is that possible?"

"Perhaps something's wrong, maybe they're in trouble, and they can't get through" suggested Sarah.

"Well, I guess we'll have to find our own way out then" sighed Billy

---Back to the other group---

The battle was heating up, many of the pokemon were knocked out, and they were down to Mike's Riachu and Rapidash, Janice's Vaporeon, Cozmo's Geodude, Skye's Butterfree, and Darren's Articuno.

"Rapidash, take down! Riachu, thunder!" commanded Mike

"Vaporeon, Hydro pump!" said Janice

"Geodude, rock throw!" yelled Cozmo

"Articuno, ice beam!" yelled Darren

"Butterfree, Psybeam!" said Skye

Rapidash rammed into the Charizard, but only did little damage. Vaporeon's water and Articuno's ice did a fair amount of damage, but not enough. The other attacks just made Charizard flinch. Charizard used a rage attack and knocked out all of the pokemon.

"We're out of pokemon!" said Darren

"Janice, see if you can contact Jason. We need more help" said Skye

As Mike, Cozmo, Skye, Misao, and Darren tryed to stall the Charizard. Janice focused all her energy tward her brother. An orange aura surronded her, but there was no response.

"What?" Janice questioned to herself "Something is terribly wrong. I always get through, the only way I wouldn't is if Jason were...dead"

Janice tryed again, and seemed to get a small signal from far away.

"But he's in the forest, not that far away." said Janice to herself "This is too wierd"

"Mike!!" yelled Skye

Janice turned around and saw Mike laying on the ground. "What heppened?" she asked

"Charizard used rage again, but this time hit Mike" said Darren

"We need to get out of here" said Misao "Before it's too late. I'll try to buy some more time for us. Oddish! go! distract that Charizard."

"What a dork, he just jumped out in front of that Charizard like that. He has no sense" said Cozmo

"Cozmo! Would you have a heart for once? Mike's seriously hurt here, and you still make fun of him?! what's your problem?!" said a very ticked off Skye

Cozmo stared at Skye in shock. Of all the years he'd known her, she'd never yelled at him before. "Well, uhh..."

Skye abruptly turned her back to him, and she and Darren picked up Mike. Janice sat on a rock thinking about Jason, and Misao was watching the Charizard and her Oddish. All of a sudden, a ball fell out of Mike's bag. Skye and Darren set Mike down, and Skye stooped down and picked the ball up.

"It's an ultra ball" said Skye

"I didn't know he had that" said Darren

"I've got an idea" said Skye

Skye walked up and stood beside Misao. She tossed the ball at the Charizard [AN: as you know, he is weak from the earlier battle] and caught him inside. Skye then picked up the ball and slipped it inside her bag. Misao recalled her tired Oddish, and they walked back to where Darren stood next to Mike.

"Let's go you guys" said Misao

"Common Janice, lets head out!" Darren yelled over to Janice, who was deep in thought.

"And you too Cozmo, lets go" said Skye

---Back to the forest---

"Will we ever see anything but trees?!" said Billy sarcastically

"I think we've been here before" observed Sarah

"Yeah, this tree looks familliar" added Billy

"And have you noticed, that this whole time, we've not seen even one wild pokemon? where are they?" said Sarah

"That is wierd, but yet, what isn't lately?" said Billy

"True. And speaking of weird, Jason, you've been very silent this whole time. Is something wrong?" asked Sarah

"No" responded Jason "Let's just get out of the forest"

The trio walked farther along until finally...

"We're out!!!!!" yelled Billy happily while she was jumping up and down

"Yesss!" said Sarah as she dropped to the treeless ground and hugged it

Jason just leaned against a tree.

"This is the last time I ever go after a strange noise" said Billy

"And the last time I ever follow you" joked Sarah

The trio walked around until coming to a very charred piece of earth.

"Uhh, do you suppose there was a battle here?" asked Sarah as she examined the burnt area, with signs of electricity, water, ice, and other various types.

"Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out" said Jason

"Just a question, geez"

"I hope the others are ok." said Billy

"This is where we go find them. We seem to get seperated a lot" commented Sarah
