Multi, Part 29

"You think they saw the Ice Beam?" Skye said, looking up to see any sign the others had seen it and were coming. She squinted her eyes at a black dot, which was getting closer, "Hey! I see something!" she yelled.

"What?" Sarah asked looking up where Skye was pointing.

"Right there," she turned Sarah's head to where she saw the object, "It's...It's a Pidgeotto and the others are on it!"

Skye, Sarah, Jason, Darren and Aoshi jumped up, waved their arms and yelled to make sure their friends saw them.

"Look." Mike said pointing down below them.

"It's them!" Misao rejoiced.

Pidgeotto, decended and it became clear that, Jason, Sarah, Aoshi, Darren and Skye were there. They obviously saw them too because they were jumping up and down waving their arms. Pidgeotto landing and everyone jumped off.

"Did ya miss us?" Billy grinned.

"Not in the least. Didn't even know you were gone." Jason shrugged keeping a straight face.

"I'm hurt," Janice said, laughing, "I thought you'd be throwing us a party or something."

"Well I could sing for you if you like," He grinned.

"Please don't." Janice said but that didn't stop her brother who had jumped onto a large rock and began to belt out the chorus to American Pie.

"Bye, bye Miss American Pie. Drove my chevy to the levy but the levy was dry! Good ole boys wree drinkin whiskey and rye and singing, 'this'll be the day that I die! This'll- gah!" Jason stopped and fell off the rock he was standing on, which had begun to sing with him.

"Bye, bye Miss American Pie. Drove my Chevy to the levy..." It paused, "What's a levy?" It asked. Everyone just stared, so it repeated the question, "'Ahem' What is a levy?" It spoke slowly and in a male's voice.

"Rocks don't talk." Darren whispered.

"Try telling *it* that," Aoshi whispred back.

Darren stepped forward, "Umm... the enlistment or conscription of men for military service."

"Ah, I see..." The rock said.

"I don't understand," Billy said, "How can you talk?"

"I am here to help."

"Yup, that's exactly what we need, a giant rock. All our problems are solved. We could jus tgo home right now, who needs Mew? We got a rock." Cozmo sighed sarcastically.

Mike rolled his eyes at Cozmo, "Can you tell us where to find Mew?" he asked the rock.

"Yes I can, just wait a second..." Sounds came from inside the boulder and the side swung open like a door and a tiny old man about two feet tall, wearing a black trenchcoat and sunglases stepped out.

"Attack of the gothic little people," Misao said under her breath.

"Oh, so the rock didn't talk," Jason said sounding a little disappointed.

"Don't worry Jason, you might find another talking rock, you never know what they have in stock at Walmart," Sarah laughed.

The little man slowly walked to Mike and shook his hand, "Hello, my name is Howard."

Mike stared down at him in disbelief wondering what he should do, "I'm Mike," it came out as barely a whisper.

"Yes I know all your names, I'm the messanger remember?" Mike just nodded his head.

"You said you could help us..." Cozmo said reminding him.

"Yes I know where Mewgi is hiding Mew." He smiled.

"Where?!" Mike said snapping out of his trance.

"Come with me," He waved his hand and led them to the shore of the island and pointed out towards the ocean, "There is an island out there sometimes, Mew is hidden there."

Janice looked confused, "Sometimes? What do you mean by that?"

"You can't always see it. You'll have to wait until Dusk to see it." Howard answered.

"Huh? I don't get it." Mike said.

"Just wait, the sun will be going down soon, until then we'll wait here. I'll get Mooky to bring us some lemonade." He paused then turned around and yelled, "MOOKY!! Put down that video game and get these kids some lemonade!!"

After a few moments a blue penguin carrying a tray of lemonade and a gameboy came out onto the shore.

"Thank you, Mooky," Howard said. Mooky nodded and turned on his gameboy.

"What kind of pokemon is that?!" Janice asked.

"He's not a pokemon, this is Mooky, he's a penguin." Howard answred.

"Right..." Janice sighed.

"Why do we have to wait?" Billy asked.

"Because you won't see it until then."

"Where'd it go?"

"No where."

"Right..." Billy said, just as Janice did before.

---An hour or so later...

Everyone watched out at the water as the sun went down, not sure exactly what to look for. Then they saw it. At first a top of a mountain appeared, then it began to grow revealing an entire island floating in mid air.

"Woah, now that's weird." Sarah said.

"You see the mountain in the middle?" Howard asked.

Mike never taking his eyes off the mountain answered, "Hard to miss."

"That's where Mew is."

"How do you know?"

"Because I'm smart."

"Right..."
