Holy Update, Batman!!
Wowza! It's been...like almost 6 months...really almost 7. Well then - it's update time!

Here is what's happened since the last time we talked (aside the fun band camp stories). Let's see.

School. School started up in August and that schedule there...is not correct. It ended up being

POLSC 151 INTRODUCTION TO POLITICAL SCIENCE 3 CREDIT HOURS
02329 03 9:30-10:55 AM MW C-6 BACARELLA

Keyboarding - Giles

Short Story & Novel - Orwin

Sociology - DeVries

Ugh...talk about a crappy semmester. My grades spelled out "DEAD." Had I not had a sexist for a keyboarding teacher, I prolly would've passed, but oh well - she was a bia...and the only Giles in my life is Anthony Stewart Head (from Buffy).

And I actually dropped Sociology, but DEAW just doesn't look good, and I had a D in there before I dropped.

The reason I did so bad is prolly because I spent a lot of time at MBT, which payed off as I'm now official in the proofing department. I was through manpower for 90 days, they loved me and they hired me. It's good times. My life is like "Office Space" now.

I've gotta run, I'm in CIS right now and should prolly be paying attention.

Coming soon:
-Christmas 2003
-New Years 2004
-Ben's 20th Birthday
-Winter Semester
-And other fun things...thingys...yeah.

A 3½ inch floppy . . . what?! - and fun with walkie talkies
...Band Camp 2003 Continued So it's tuesday or wednesday evening and Jon and I are sitting in our room listening to mp3's or playing some games - anyway - we were both assigned walkie-talkies and over the CB, Jodi calls for me, but I wasn't really in the mood for talking - that and it sounded like Jon's name anyway...so Jon answers it...and this is what happened:

Jodi: Do you have a A 3½ inch floppy disc?
Jon: A what?
Jodi: A 3½ inch floppy disc?
Jon: A 3½ inch floppy . . . what?!
Jerry Borrelli: A 3½ inch floppy di

By now - every chaperone with a walkie-talkie is laughing their asses off, as are Jon and myself. The the sound of doom - the band director knocks on our door and says . . . .

Jim: A 3½ inch floppy . . . what guys?
Ben: Nothing sir!
Jon: Yes, nothing at all.
Ben: Oh!! Look at what Jon did this morning!

I ran to the other side of the room and pulled out our BORROWED WindStar Floor Fan from MHS. It was blowing at top speed with a little white and red doodly thing attached...

Jim: What's that?
Ben: That would be a tampon with rasberry jam!
Jim: rolls eyes Thanks for the entertainment, gentlemen.

Oh...it was hilarious. Then on Friday morning we were in the Terrace Room (the eating room for adults/chaperones/instructors/directors/and other idiots) and all of a sudden Robin Williams comes over the CB's with

Robin: GOOOOOOOOOOD MOOOOOOORRRRRNNNNNNNIIIIINNNNNGGGGGGG, VIETNAM!!

Now mind you - I'd gotten yelled at a few times for being "silly" with mine - and my walkie-talkie was sitting on the table with my cell phone - and I declared:

Ben: I didn't do it!!!!!!

And everyone laughed their asses off. Oh it was good.

Next update: Discussions with our female RA on the male side, internet connections, Life with Richie, and so much more! Stay tuned...and would somebody freaking make a comment?!

So . . . One time, at band camp . . .
Ah yes...band camp. A time when many ladies in the flute section shove things where they might not regularly go and when drummers probe the hell out of each other. Fun times, eh?

So let's see, where do I start? Monday morning, Ryan (Jewel, a roomate for the week) and I get everything together in his truck and take off. Now here is what everything is: 4 Computer monitors, 3 computers, 2 big fans (one borrowed from MHS), 1 refridgerator and luggage....lots and lots of luggage....oh and Jew's speakers - which there were LOTS of. So we leave around 7:30/8:00 in the morning and we arrive around 10:30ish. Since Jew and I drove separtley from the busses we got their faster and had breakfast at meijer - mmmmm donuts! So we go to check in and Jew, Jon, and myself are chapperones/instructors, so we have our own rooms - but oddly enough Jew and I have the key to the same room but we ultimately room with Jon. Mind you 6 floor of Akers hall at MSU isn't fun at all in the summer....but 6 floor of Akers hall at MSU with ooodles of fans and computers is.

So as I'm waiting to get my missing key - a senior of the drumline, Andy Funk was in line next to me - now Andy stayed in our room as well - but that was for other reasons. Anyway - he takes a swig of water and tells the lady that there was something white in his cup and the lady at the desk replies with "It's just some protein!" Oh my! Andy was drinking some protein - begining of American Pie, anyone? (The beer glass...with lots of ummm...protein in it).

Heading up the male chapperones was Jerry Borrelli. We love this man. He's like the father you want...because he takes you boobie-shopping...but we'll get to that later (because that's friday's story).

And the story will be continued......when I develop a better memory...like we discussed in The Terrace Room.

I Love My Job!!!!!
So I have an awesome job, guys. I work at Monroe Bank & Trust's Operations Building in the Proofing Department. I know, it's a mouth-full, but it's awesome. The disadvantage: out of the 9 people that I work with, I'm the only one with a penis...so it's very deadly at odd times of every month.

Look for the screenplay to be popping up online!!!! Laters!

Guster & Fudruckers!!
So today I went and bought the new Guster CD, which is called Keep It Together. Dems my bois. They rock my socks off. That's right, I'm sitting here barefoot because I have no socks because Guster rocked them off...or that's uber cheesy. Anyway, we went to Taylor (my mom and Emily Porter). It was just a blast. I love hanging out with Emily Porter. She's just so funny and spontaneous. I don't mind hanging out with my mom either because she's awesome.

But the other reason we went to Taylor: Fuddruckers!!! OMG!!! Imagine the best tasting hamburgers and milk shakes....yup - that's that place. It's going to become the place to chill. I ordered a 1 lb. burger (I was hungry, guys!) and it was HUGE! But it was scrum-diddly-umptious.

I'm sitting in Jon BonJovi Hunley's bedroom right now blogging, listening to the new Guster CD. We're going to go see them on July 5th - it's a free concert (yeah, right!!! I mean it is, but that's saracasm because things THIS good aren't free!) So yeah...I'll blog tomorrow...

Oh real quick: I'm supposed to go into work tomorrow - but i'm not. SCREW MEIJER!!! I START MB&T ON MONDAY!!!! w00t!

Laters.

How Dumb Meijer Truly Is . . .
Okay...so I have spring classes that are M/TU/TH from 1:30 - 4:00. Then I put in my two weeks in at Meijer...so the equation they have for this goes like this:

2 weeks notice + neglecting of college schedule = retarded place of employment.

This is why I say with much pride my friends, that I seriously can't wait to be out of this #@%!ing job!!!! I hate it soooooooooooooooooo much.

I'll blog later...don't forget - it's Monday - NEW STRONG BAD E-MAILS!!!!!!!!

Harry Potter Night!!!
Okay - so I'm up in East Lansing (home of the East Lansing Ass Pirates) with my older brother Brad, his fiance Kathy, my "date" for the wedding (maid of honor) Preetha, Richie and Katie. We definitley went to Barnes & Noble and enjoyed the festivities of Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix. It was pretty neat. I've never seen so much hype for a book...I mean it's a freaking book. Wow! That's very impressive and kinda neat. Like I remember when Reechee (aka Richie) and I went to go see "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones," and there were like a lot of people dressed up and stuff. It was just like that. It's an all new phenomna! Oh, and we definitley saw a DVD that exploited the positive-ness of marijuana/reefer. Wow. It's amazing what they sell there. Be on the look out for the Potter Night Pic - it's pretty funny. Okay, that about raps it up for this episode in my blogger. Check back with me later.

Good things are happening!!!
Hey everyone.

Well, first of all, check this out! I have a blogger on my site - which means it's like a small message board and stuff....ooooo nifty!

So anyway, last Saturday, my older (but not oldest) brother Brad came home and said he wanted to go do something with me. Little bit of a surprise there, I mean, not that we never want to do anything with each other, but we're usually both busy (I'm usually working dumb shifts at meijer...which that situation got better, just keep reading), or he's doing stuff with Kathy (his fiance) and her family. So why in the heck did he want to do something with just me? I get to Kathy's house, right around the same time they did and we go and pick up Brad's like friend since like 1st grade, Josh Ivey and we go have dinner at Detroit Beach Pizzeria. Mid-dinner, Brad makes mention of the wedding and then asks Josh and I if we would be his Best Men at his wedding. !!!!!!! Color me excited. The sad thing about it is that it made me realize we're all growing up. I mean, my brother is getting married. That's a big step in life!

...As for Meijer...yeah, about me putting in my two-weeks notice there! HELL YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!! To quote Martin Luther King Jr. "Free at last. Free at last. Thank God Almighty, I'm Free at last!" I have never hated a job as much as the one that I worked at Meijer Gas. It's degrading. But insert the new job: Proof Operator at Monroe Bank & Trust! Disadvantage: The job is through Manpower.
Advantage: MB&T said that Manpower has a 90-day contract with MB&T and after the 90 days, MB&T usually hire on the Manpower employee!!! Starting pay is $8.00 and as long as I maintain a "C" average, I get my tuition PAID FOR!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! I LOVE MB&T!!!!!!!!!

Oh - Heather picked me up Season 4 of Buffy!!! I'm a nerd...but hey, at least I'm not addicted to...something worse than Buffy.

And I did a good deed! On the corner of my road, Reinhardt and Stewart there was a car completly dead, and usually when driving by that kind of a scene I just think, "well, do I offer and drive off, keep driving, or not offer and help." And out of nowhere - like I just pulled my car off to the side without thinking and helped these two men out. Now, not to sound like I'm better, but these men were poorly dressed and after the stench that was left in my car worked very had for whatever money they could have, more power to them. I helped push their car to the side of the road and then offered them a ride down the street to where another car was. They offered me money but I flat out rejected it. I've talked to Brad, Kathy and Hayford and they all seem to think that it was the Will of God working through me. And I think so too. Because I'm the kind of person that would never do that. You never know who's packing any sort of weapon on themselves now. But then again - they took a chance riding with me, I could've floored it into a tree, or an approaching vehicle. Weird...but noble and good feeling.

Okay - that about wraps up this blog (for the month) ;) Check back and feedback!
