THE REDEMPTIVE NAMES OF GOD

Rev Ann White, SW Washington

Thanks for joining me today.  I want to begin today by recommending two books that are “must haves” to assist you with your study in divine healing and health.  I don’t get anything for recommending them – they are just awesome with scriptural information for your use.

“Christ the Healer” by F. F. Bosworth

“Healing the Sick” by T. L. Osborne

To continue with my study on healing, I want to acquaint you with the seven redemptive names of Jehovah.  These were all included in the atonement required in the book of Leviticus.  They are continued in the New Testament and are all present in the atonement of Christ, covering both our redemption from sin and sicknesses.  In Psalm 103:2,3, it talks about our being redeemed from our sin as well as our sicknesses.  The word “all” being most inclusive.

Jehovah Jireh – the Lord will provide an offering

Jehovah Nissi – the Lord our Victor, our Banner, our Captain

Jehovah Rapha – the Lord our Healer

Jehovah Rohi – the Lord our Shepard

Jehovah Shammah – the Lord who is always present

Jehovah Shalom – the Lord our Peace

Jehovah Tsidkenu – the Lord our Righteousness

In each of these names, we see a need met today, as well as in the Old Testament.  Each name represented a part of the atonement then, as each name represents part of the atonement by Christ today.  It is not likely they were separated then, and it is also not likely they are to be separated today.  If Jehovah is one of these, then He is all of them.  Thus, providing a way for healing to be received in the life of the believer today.

If I can assist you in learning further, or if I may pray with you, please don’t hesitate to email me, at word2day@hotmail.com look forward to hearing from you.
