DID
YOU KNOW? - MAY I SUGGEST?
In an article I read recently that was from USA Today, a number of women were asked, “Where do you go when you are sick? Who do you talk to?” About half of all women said that their primary care doctor is their main source of health care information. The other half reported as follows:
o
24% of all women learn about their problems and
solutions from magazines and newspapers
o
7% from TV and radio
o
5% from a relative or a friend
o
5% from self-help books
o
4% from school courses
o
2% from a pharmacist
Not
even in a fraction of a percentage is a pastor, church, Bible or God ever
mentioned. This is for both Christian and non-Christian. Yet, God
is our creator, our Savior, makes Himself available to be our Healer, and He is
our Deliverer. If He created us, He knows what’s wrong with us!
Would we dare go there and ask Him to reveal that to His children? I have.
I’m just foolish enough to believe He will answer me – or smart enough.
I
am not against doctors, but I believe, in our ignorance and our separation from
God, that we’ve asked the medical community to do something they are not
qualified to do – that is to pastor us and deal with spiritual issues. I
don’t find anywhere in Scripture, especially in Ephesians 4, where a doctor or
a psychologist is considered to be a gift from the Lord Jesus in leadership to
us.
Look
at Ephesians 4:8 with me. “Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on
high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men."
Now
Eph. 4:11 – “And He gave some apostles; and some prophets; and some
evangelists; and some pastors and teachers;”
I
have found the five-fold ministry mentioned which includes apostles, prophets,
evangelists, pastors and teachers as a gift to the body, but I did not find
doctors or psychologists.
Please
refer now to I Corinthians 12:27-28. It says, “Now ye are the body of
Christ, and members in particular. And God has set some in the church,
first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles,
then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”
These
two professions are many times the result of the failure of the Christian
Church and its leadership to execute its scriptural mandate in pastoral care.
Psychologists
have become the pastors of America, but God has not ordained them to be
such. We have asked our medical community to be our healers of
spiritually rooted diseases, but they are not qualified. That’s why
allopathic medicine is failing. The medical community does not know the
etiology of over 80% of all diseases. If they don’t the cause, how can
they cure the disease? They can’t and they don’t. The best they can
do is a little management of the disease, often with drugs that have terrible
side effects. Do you notice on television when a new drug is recommended,
it will help one problem, and have side effects for five more things? Do
you know the side effects of your meds?
A
question for you – If I could strip from you all the veneers of life and all of
the protective mechanisms, who do you think you would be?
The
things I would strip from you would be:
o
Fear
o
Rejection
o
Fear of Failure
o
Fear of Abandonment
o
Un-loveliness
o
Guilt
o
Rejection/Fear of Rejection
o
Self-Hatred
o
Fear of Man
o
Tragedies of your life coming from victimization
If
I could help strip all of these away from you, there is a good chance all of
your diseases WOULD GO AWAY!!! All of your diseases are the result
of what you carry around. I have heard it called “the plaque of
life.” It’s like when you go to the dentist and have plaque on your teeth
removed – they are clean and serve their purpose. So it is with the
“spiritual plaque” in your life – it’s time to do some cleaning so you can be
“clean and serve the purpose you were originally created to do and be.”
If
you are ready to get honest with yourself, ready to be healthy, wealthy and
have the wisdom of God be formed in you, there is hope for you – no matter
where you are or how far down you have been.
If
you have a particular disease you are dealing with and haven’t found the
answers for, please email me through our magazine this article is in, and I
will answer you. If I don’t have the answer, I know where to go to get
it.
In
my next article, I will be sharing about allergies, which is one of the most
misdiagnosed illnesses in our society today.
