HAVE YOU REALLY MET “HOLY SPIRIT?”

It’s Sooooooooo Easy!!!!

 

I have known from God’s Word, the Bible, that when I asked the Lord Jesus Christ to come into my heart and be my Savior, Holy Spirit came to live within me as the third Person of the Holy Trinity.  I knew that because the Bible said that was the case.  BUT, the other day, I REALLY MET HIM IN A NEW WAY!!!

 

Holy Spirit is the most overlooked Person of the Godhead.  Have you thought about Him much?  Does He seem “spooky” being called the Holy Ghost?  I can tell you, He is very real, caring, loving, and available to bring you into the perfect plan that God has for your life.

 

If we can fellowship with Father God, and know His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, don’t you think it is time that we learn to know Who Holy Spirit really is?  After all, Holy Spirit is God too.

 

Holy Spirit is the third divine Person of the eternal Godhead, coequal, coeternal, and coexistent with the Father and Son.  It is part of His ministry to convict and convert men as well as to show us Jesus, the Son and our Father God.

 

John 16:13-15 tells us, “However when He, the Spirit of Truth has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.  He will glorify Me,  for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.  All things that the Father has are Mine.   Therefore, I said that He will take of mine and declare it to you.”

 

So, having said that, let’s go to Jeremiah 29:11.  It says, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE.” 

 

Looking at the world today, and noting the prayer requests that come in on my email, I would say people aren’t having much hope and are without a future – other than what they think they can accomplish themselves.  James 1:17 says, “All GOOD THINGS come from God.”  So why do you think you personally are not experiencing “good things?”  Just exactly how do you think then you can find out just what it is that God planned for your life?

 

This is where the wonderful Person of the Holy Spirit comes in.  I am assuming that you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior as you are reading this article.  Because when you did that, Holy Spirit came into your “spirit man” and took up residence.  Remember in John 16:14, part of what Jesus said was, “…”He (Holy Spirit) will take of what is mine and show it to you.”

 

With that in mind, and God knowing that He has plans and purposes for you, just how do we work with Holy Spirit to find out what they are?

 

God says in Matthew 6:33 to “seek first the Kingdom of God…” and He says in Psalm 63:1 …”early will I seek You.”  So, for so many who are consumed with the world’s whirlwind, it would appear you will have to adjust your schedule.  Would it be worth the effort for you to adjust your schedule and start to climb out of your lifestyle with it’s problems, into God’s plans and purposes for you?  Especially knowing that “all good things come from God?”  I think that would mean the absence of your stressors, illnesses, debt, and everything that is consuming your life and the lives of your loved ones!

 

Why do you think Paul the Apostle said in I Corinthians 14:18, “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.”  In Romans 8:26, it says, “Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses.  For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”  This is where being able to speak with other tongues like Paul did is a major factor. 

 

If you will allow the Greater One inside of you to pull off His greatness and to pull off His great plan, by learning to seek Holy Spirit and yield to Him, your life will become meaningful and change.  You will need to step aside and allow Holy Spirit to build God’s plan in you, praying in other tongues, or “in the Spirit” as the Word teaches.  Once you see the plan of God, then you will have to get the “timings of God.”  Ask, “am I supposed to walk this out now?” 

 

As you will seek Him first and early, He guarantees that He will show you His Plan for your life.  He says in 3 John 2, “Beloved, I pray (or wish) above ALL ELSE that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.”  So, you will need to incorporate into your life time with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit early and first.  We can’t just do it the way we want to, we need to do it the way He’s written for us to do.  We follow directions to do other things on a daily basis, so why don’t we choose to do things His way too?  It’s a relationship, not religion.  I can guarantee you that an hour in church every week won’t do it.  But, I guarantee it’s well worth putting in time to love Him, work with Him and find health, wealth and the Wisdom of God. 

 

I challenge you to come out of the world’s way of doing things and come into God’s ways of doing and being right.
