THE
KINGDOM OF GOD
Missionary Pat Bates, Oklahoma
What
exactly is the Kingdom of God? So many people think it is a place in Heaven,
but I believe it is within us, not a “place somewhere.”
We
must go to the Word of God to find out, so let’s look at 8 scriptures.
Ø
John 3:3 – “Unless you are born again, you can never enter into the Kingdom of God.”
Ø
Luke 18:17 – “Unless you receive the
Kingdom of God as a little child, you
not be able to enter.”
Ø
Luke 17:20 – 21b – When will the Kingdom of God begin? The Kingdom of God is within you.”
Ø
Romans 14:17 – “The Kingdom of God
is not meat or drink, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.”
Ø
Matthew 6:33 – “Seek first the Kingdom
of God and all these things will be added to you.”
Ø
Luke 12:31 – “He will always give
you what you need if the Kingdom of God is your priority.”
Ø
Mark 10:23-25 - Jesus looked around and said unto his
disciples, “How hard it will be for them
who have riches to enter into the Kingdom of God.” And the disciples were
astonished at His words. But Jesus
answered them again, saying, “Children, how hard it is for them that trust in
riches to enter into the Kingdom of God. It is easier for a camel to go through the
eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”
Ø
Acts 14:22 - They strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the
faith, reminding them that they must enter into the Kingdom of God
through many tribulations.
Do we know now what the Kingdom of God is?
Let’s look at
one scripture again, and this time read it from the Amplified Bible.
Matthew 6:33 – “Seek first God’s way
of doing things and all these things will be added to you.”
NOW,
I don’t know about you, but that opens my eyes!
Now let’s read the above scriptures again with this phrase, and see if
we understand with our spirits what God is saying.
Ø
John 3:3 – “Unless you are born again, you can never enter into God’s
way of doing things.”
Ø
Luke 18:17 – “Unless you receive God’s
way of doing things as a little child, you not be able to enter.”
Ø
Luke 17:20 – 21b – When will God’s way
of doing things begin? God’s way
of doing things is within you.”
Ø
Romans 14:17 – “God’s way of doing
things is not meat or drink, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy
Ghost.”
Ø
Luke 12:31 – “He will always give
you what you need if God’s way of doing things is your priority.”
Ø Mark 10:23-25 - Jesus looked around and said unto his
disciples, “How hard it will be for them
who have riches to enter into God’s
way of doing things.” And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered them again, saying,
“Children, how hard it is for them that trust in riches to enter into God’s

God’s way of doing things.”

through many tribulations.
