WHAT ARE WE WILLING TO SETTLE FOR?
Missionary Pat Bates,
I recently heard Paul
Crouch comment on Acts 17:6, saying we (the church) should be as Paul and Silas
were . . . people who “turned the world upside down.”
He said the church
today has become acceptable . . . it has become respectable!!
WHY?
Why
has the church sought to be accepted and respected by the world? That is not what we are here for! If we had no work to do after we accepted Jesus, we would go
directly to heaven at the time we were saved . . . BUT I believe we have a
definite plan to follow and a definite work to do, but I DO NOT believe it is
to “fit in” with the world.
I
read an article in the Wall Street Journal a few months ago that had a great
impact on me. It was written by an
avowed unbeliever (atheist) . . . he stated . . . “in this perverse and violent
society we finally look to the church for answers, only to find they have
become just like us.”
Seek
out a church that operates in “The AnOInting”. This will be the church that can give you
answers. The only churches that are
turning the world upside down are the ones operating in the anointing of God
and rejecting the world’s standards.
IT
IS TIME WE BEGIN ANEW TO BE WORLD SHAKERS AND TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN FOR JESUS . .
. BE LIKE PAUL, BE LIKE SILAS, BE LIKE JOHN THE BAPTIST!
Don’t strive to be men-pleasers . . . be men shakers!
(and
SAVERS!))
