THE
TRINITY

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
I don’t know anyone who
totally understands the divine trinity . . . but here is my understanding . . .
We are made in the image
of God . . . Genesis says so. We are
made as a “triune” being, having three parts.
We are a spirit, we live in a body, and we posses a
mind (or soul). You cannot separate
the three until the body dies, then we go on to our eternal life in Heaven (or
Hell if we so choose) . . . we are a whole being in three distinct parts. I believe God is the same, yet He has the
power to separate all three of His parts.
The Father is the mind
of God, Jesus is the body of God, and the Holy Spirit is the spirit
of God.
Jesus is called many
different names in the Bible . . . including GOD’S WORD. In John 1:14, it ways the Word was made flesh
(body) and dwelt among us. Many people
believe Jesus did not appear until the New Testament . . . But He was with God
from the beginning of all time. John 1:1
clearly states this, and also says the Word was God. So Jesus is God, not merely His son. Jesus said, “You have seen me, you have seen
the Father,” and “The Father and I are one.”
The Holy Spirit was sent
when Jesus ascended to the Father after His resurrection. So, God has been “with us” since Jesus
came. The very name of Jesus tells us
that He is God . . . Immanuel means “God With
Us.” The Holy Spirit is our
comforter, teacher, guide, friend and conscience. He is the part of God who lives in and on
us. When we are born-again, He comes to
live in us . . . when we receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, He is on
us. He is the power of God here on the
earth today.
The Father, the Son and
the Holy Spirit are GOD.
We are spirit, soul and
body.
WE ARE INDEED MADE IN HIS
LIKENESS!
SELAH!
