Gal
5:22-23 NKJ “But the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
“Joy,” is the second
fruit of the Spirit listed. The fruit of Joy appears 62 times in the New
Testament.
When you received
Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, the Holy Spirit came to live in you. Your
spirit and His, became one Spirit. He brought with Him,
the fruit, or the result of His Presence. We have all the fruit of the Spirit
abiding in us from that point on.

Let’s see how this
word, joy, is woven throughout Jesus’ life.
The angel told Mary,
in Luke 1:28 that she would give birth to the Messiah. He greeted her with the
word, “Hail,” which in the Greek means, “be cheerful.”
Luke
On the night of Jesus’ birth, an angel appeared to a group of shepherds
and said to them,
Luke
When the wise men
saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy.
Matt
On the morning of the resurrection, when the women found the tomb empty,
they ran to the disciples with great joy.
Throughout Jesus’ earthly ministry, he talked about rejoicing with great
joy.
John
John
16:22-24 KJV
“And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart
shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give
it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive,
that your joy may be full.”
John
Christians should
always rejoice. If you are yielding to
When you see someone
get saved, you rejoice because you know that they are going to experience the
same joy you experienced when you got saved. Where did you get your joy? From the Spirit of
God the Father rejoices with joy, over one sinner that repents.
Luke
15:3-7 NKJ
“So He spoke this parable to them, saying: "What man of you, having a
hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the
wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he
has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his
friends and neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my
sheep which was lost!' I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in
heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need
no repentance.”
Having the joy of the Lord is not man’s joy, but God’s divine joy, in
you.
Matt 25:21 NKJ
"His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were
faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into
the joy of your lord.”
Jude
1:24-25 NKJ
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you
faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our
Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now
and forever.” Amen.
Rom
5:10-11KJV “For
if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but
we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received
the atonement.”
Acts
1
Pet 1:6-9 NKJ
“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you
have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being
much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be
found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom
having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you
rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your
faith-- the salvation of your souls.”
God bless you, as
you grow daily in His Word,
