GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT: PEACE

REMEMBER WHEN JESUS SPOKE TO THE WINDS AND THE WAVES AND SAID, “PEACE, BE STILL”?

> IMMEDIATELY THE STORM CEASED. PEACE CAME TO THE SITUATION.

WHEN YOU SEE FAITH MOVING, YOUR SPIRIT BECOMES PEACEFUL. FAITH IS BELIEVING GOD’S WORD.

ROMANS 15:13 SAYS THERE IS “JOY AND PEACE IN BELIEVING.”

THE GREEK WORD FOR PEACE MEANS, “LIVING LIFE AT ITS BEST.”

SHALOM IS THE HEBREW WORD FOR PEACE AND IT MEANS, COMPLETE WHOLENESS.

THE FRUIT OF PEACE IS THE PRODUCT OF OUR SALVATION. JESUS IS OUR PEACE WITH GOD. DUE TO THE SACRIFICIAL WORK OF CHRIST WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD, THERE IS A CESSATION OF HOSTILITIES.

Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

GOD IS THE AUTHORED OF OUR PEACE

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

THE PEACE FROM GOD IS NOT BIRTHED BY INTELLECTUAL EFFORT BUT BY DIVINE POWER OF GOD.

Philippians 4:7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

GOD IS A THE PEACEMAKER AND HE SANCTIFIES OR SEPARATES US OUR FOR HIS USE.

1Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

OUR SINS HAVE BEEN PAID FOR AND WE ARE AT PEACE WITH GOD.

Ephesians 2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

BECAUSE WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD WE CAN HAVE PEACE WITH OTHERS.

Colossians 1:20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
