IS YOUR GOD
DEAD?
The question, Is Your God Dead? Could probably be answered many ways,
depending on who's answering, and where they stand, as far as their walk with
God.
Many, over the
years, have developed the idea that the whole God thing is nothing but a myth.
That the Bible, because it was written by men, is an absurd piece of material
that really has no meaning at all. Every - religion, no matter what it
is, has a different interpretation as to what is right about scripture, and
they are faithful enough so as not to be pulled away from that belief easily.
We believe the bible is yea and amen. That God is
who He says He is, and we have no reason to believe otherwise.
People
don't believe there even is a God, because no one has ever seen Him. The
word has always been very clear, that, "No Man has ever seen God and
lived." That is pretty profound when you stop to think about it.
God
has revealed Himself in many ways. For instance, when Moses stood before the
burning bush to receive the Ten Commandments, God revealed himself in the form
of fire. When you are in the presence of God, you are on Holy Ground, and Moses
was told to take off His shoes.
Jesus
comes along and, though He confused those that were around Him, He
unraveled the mystery pertaining to His Father, God. He said, "I
and my father are one. You have seen me, You have seen the father."
I, not for one moment, can dispute that.
Is
my God dead? No, I could never serve a Dead God. Jesus knew, before
He came to this earth in the form of a Human being, what His great purpose for
coming was. I am sure that before God sent Him to earth, they had many
round-table discussions as to what the divine purpose would be. To me,
this is why He wasn't accepted in so many circles. He isn't today.
He
came to die. For your sin and my sin. Our salvation was taken care
of at Calvary. He, however, did Not Stay dead.
If
you recall the time when He said, "This
temple shall be destroyed, but in three days, It Shall Rise Again." He
wasn't talking about a building, No! Why? Because We Are The Temple, If We
Are Walking With God. Only a handful would believe and understand what He
was saying, and they waited. The majority said, "It will never
happen." And they sent guards to guard a tomb, but the guards
weren't strong enough to out smart the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! As He
promised, He, the Son of God, not Mary and Joseph, They were only the
instruments chosen by God to fulfill a promise, prophesied many years sooner.
He, The Son-Of-God Rose Again, and because He Lives, We live.
It
is sad to see so many churches running around with sad, cold expression when it
comes to Jesus and God. They have His funeral every day. We serve a living
God, and don't you forget it!
If
you want JOY, REAL JOY, let Jesus Come Into Your Heart. He Lives Today, and will live forever.
Praise God.
God
Bless you as you seek Him anew, and afresh
