Lord, Increase Our Faith

DAVID8.JPGIn our men's bible study, we have been dealing with Faith.

When we stop to think about it, we, me included, have a need to ask God to help us to have more faith, especially when it comes to the big things that come our way.  We know that there is nothing impossible with Christ. He has proven that over and over again. Yet, we can believe for everyone around us, but when it comes to us, we have trouble with faith.

In the case of the ten lepers, I think they believed that Jesus was able to do great and mighty things, or they would not have said, "Lord have mercy on us" but there are two questions that arise in my mind. One is, How confident were they, that Jesus was able to do the work in them that was needed? and, two,  How much trust did they have in Him, where their particular need was concerned?

Jesus told them to do something that in the natural mind, seemed a bit unusual. I believe that He was putting them to the test to see just how confident and trusting they were, and, how obedient they would be.  He told them to go and show themselves to the Priest. Now, I ask you,  If Jesus was able to heal them with just the spoken word, why would they have to go and show themselves to the Priest?  The Priest  wasn't in a position to do the work, Just how willing were they to do what was asked of them.  I can almost hear them now, murmuring because their request wasn't taken care of immediately.  Isn't it amazing, though, that while they were on their way, the healing took place, but, only one of the ten, recognized it, and returned to give honor and praise to the Lord.

Folks, Sometimes, whether we like it or not, We have to be put to the test to show the Lord just how confident and trusting we really are. If we go the extra mile for Jesus, in obedience to Him, He will fulfill His word.

Faith is the Substance of things hoped for.  I have a condition which is very hard to deal with.  I hope for healing.   Faith is the Evidence of things not seen.  When I ask for healing,  I accept that the healing is mine, tho I cannot yet see the evidence of that now, and I believe that there are some things that I have to do, to show Heavenly Father, that the time is right for the evidence to be seen in my life.  Is my life so that I am ready for the next step?  When the healing becomes evident, will I show others how important it is to believe, to have Faith, to have confidence for all things, and to always trust, even though we may have to be tested a bit?

Just because we don't see answers right away, doesn't mean God is not working. Our needs are met, NOW.

Lord:  INCREASE  OUR  FAITH,  IN  THE  NAME  OF  JESUS.

We have to rise above our own human feelings and understandings, and Give Father God the room to work miracles in our lives.

God Bless and keep you.

I love you.
