YOU ARE ALL INVITED TO THE BIGGEST AND BEST BIRTHDAY
PARTY EVER.
When?
December 25th. You don't even have to leave your house. NO GIFTS
are allowed because the guest of honor has everything He needs. We don't need
gifts, because we have too much already, and most things get tucked away and
forgotten about: The guest of honor, JESUS.
The
only gift He wants is YOU. That's right, YOU. You are the only one
in all this world that has ever mattered to Him, or, has been desired by
Him. I don't think most of us are aware, just how important we are to
Him. That is why we are so negligent in our making place for the Guest Of
Honor.
Already, you are busy planning your gift
list. Already, you are taking advantage of the early displays in the
stores, because you want the best buys and choices. And no one must be
disappointed. How foolish we are. We spend so much, we travel so
far, and then we come home, badly broke, stuffed out of our minds, and it takes
a whole year just to be ready for the next bash.
We
don't teach our children any values by this behavior, so when they go to the
store, they want everything they see, no matter how much they have at home.
Folks, it
is His birthday. He deserves the praise and worship. He deserves more of
us, than most of us are willing to give. It is my hope that this year,
priorities will be in the right place, and we will be happy and content with
what we have, and enjoy the holidays the way they should be enjoyed.
