Dear Friends,
When I got this picture from Bobby, I thought back to his birth in San Diego Balboa
Naval Hospital on Dec. 23, 1963. It was a difficult birth.
As time went by, he demonstrated behavoir where we had to correct him often. He
was very bright and active but something was wrong. It got to the point finally
of being dangerous and so, we had to do something.
Finally, one day, as I was listening to a Christian radio program, God revealed
to me that we should have him checked to see if he had brain damage. We
lived in Connecticut at the time, and so we took him into St. Francis Hospital
in Hartford, Conn. where they conducted a brain wave test on him. (EEG).
The test results showed abnormality in one side of the brain in the behavioral
area.
We took him to a Neurogolist who told us that he could have already been having
seizures with this kind of condition. But, he never did have one.
At that time, we had started a Wesleyan Methodist church in our home in our basement,
and had a pastor come in. He had been healed of God of bleeding colitus
himself, and so, definitely believed in God's healing power.
Bobby was five years old at this time. The pastor asked him if he
believed that Jesus could heal him, and he answered without question that he
did! So, the pastor anointed him with oil and prayed.
When we took him back to the hospital for a repeat test, they could find absolutely
no brain damage! I had been told that the brain never heals in this kind
of damage, but that another area will take over for it. But, praise God,
there was no brain damage at all in the test results!
We serve a great God who is greatly to be praised!
Bobby is exceptionally intelligent and functions as Chief Tech. of MRI, working
in various hospitals on the East Coast. He loves the Lord with all his
heart and we are proud of him and thankful to God for all that He has done!
When I received this picture from Bobby today, my mind went back to remember all
that the Lord has done for us! He has brought us through many troubled places,
but He has never failed us! Bobby is an example of God's faithfulness and
the healing power in Jesus' blood!
Many of you knew Bobby since he was small and I thought you might want to remember
with us how good the Lord has been!
