GOD IS GOD!

God is God!!!  We don’t realize who He really is because we are taught that He won’t bless us if we don’t keep worshipping us.  We don’t realize that His love for us is so strong that He took a major part of Himself meaning that He sent His one and only Son and sacrificed Him so that He wouldn’t lose us. 

 

When I say that God is God, I mean that there is absolutely no one who can compare to Him.  He is our Creator.  He is our Father, our Protector, our Provider, our Healer and absolutely all that we need to make it in our lives which consists of our spiritual, mental and physical selves.

 

We may go through some very difficult times and start to think that God has forgotten us which is not the truth.  He allows us to go through these trials so that we can take a good look at ourselves and see where we need to grow.  The bigger the problem the weaker we are and as we call on the Lord for His help He will be there, ready to bless us with a miracle.  We need to realize that this may not happen immediately because it may not be God’s timing.  For example, Daniel 3 tells the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.  They refused to bow down before King Nebuchadnezzar which angered him to the extent that he ordered his soldiers to throw them into the fire.  God could have stopped this from happening but He didn’t.  You see, if He did then no one would believe that this was His doing so the Almighty allowed these men to be thrown into the fire.  This was the time that He walked into the flames with them and they weren’t burnt although the soldiers who threw these guys into the fire burnt when they got near it.  Verse 29 goes on to say, “Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants!

 

I’m sure that Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego knew that as long as they trusted God, He would certainly take of them.  This is what God wants us to do.  He wants us to know that no matter what, He is walking with us and will see us through.  The bigger the problem, the greater the miracle!!!  What bothers some of us is knowing that God can do anything for He is God; however we wonder if He will do it for us?  That is when doubt creeps in which is not pleasing to Him.  It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6

 

It would be wise for us to memorize a couple of verses so that we can be ready when hard times come our way.  Psalm 18:2   “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.  He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”  Psalm 143:8  “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.  Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul”.

 

The reason we worship God is because we understand that God is God and there is no other God but Him.
