LOVE
CONQUERS ALL
Minister Francine Stuart, Florida
A teacher of the Law was there who heard the
discussion. He saw that Jesus had given the Sadducees a good answer, so he came to him with a
question: "Which commandment is the most important of all?" Jesus replied, "The most important
one is this: "Listen, Israel! The Lord our God is the only Lord. Love the Lord your God with all your
heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and
with all your strength.' The second most
important commandment is this: "Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'
There is no other commandment more important than these two." John 15:9-15
God created us because
He wanted to have a strong relationship with us. Satan was jealous because he thought that God
was trading him in for us so he rebelled against the Almighty. God took away all his credentials and threw
him out of heaven. Satan wanted to get even with
God by destroying mankind. God already
knew this and carried out His plan of salvation. He sent His only begotten Son to buy our
freedom through His death on the cross.
His undying love for us freed us from remaining as slaves to the enemy
of our souls. For there is one God, and there is one who
brings God and human beings together, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself to
redeem the whole human race. That was the proof at the right time that God
wants everyone to be saved,
1 Timothy 2:5-6
We are given the opportunity to confess
our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and as we do, we
automatically enter into God’s family. I love you just as the Father loves me;
remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as
I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love "I have told you
this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete My commandment is this: love one another,
just as I love you John 15:9-12
Satan is forever searching
for ways to get us to fall out of God’s grace.
1 Peter warns us by saying, “Be alert, be on watch! Your enemy, the Devil,
roams around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8. One of his plans is to promote prejudice. If we cannot accept and love one another as
God’s children sin we have sin in our hearts.
We have walked away from God and are no longer under His protection. This is NOT His will for us!
If we continue to live
this way, we will lose our peace of mind and start to develop a disease called
“hardness of heart”. Unless we turn away
from our disobedient ways, we will develop a dead conscience and end up on the
road of self-destruction.
When we confess our sins
and make a resolution to turn away from them, God will forgive us. O
Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all
who ask your aid. Psalm 86:5
