THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD
Minister Francine Stuart,
Do you realize that
every time you tell someone that the devil is giving you a hard time, you are
giving him glory? His job is too give you a hard
time and it makes him happy when you are telling people that he is messing up
your life. Each time you state that the devil “got you good”, you deny the power of God.
A man states, “satan has won!” His pain is great and his faith has
shriveled almost to nothing. I am not judging him but I am using his
statement to point out that discouragement can happen to anyone.
Instead of complaining when things don’t go our way, we are
cautioned to keep our minds on the One who performed many wonderful
miracles since He created the world. For example, think of God
parting the
When Adam and Eve
disobeyed God, we became a lost people. Satan had enslaved mankind.
The Almighty could have destroyed us but He didn’t. He sent His only
begotten Son to die for us on the cross so that we would be set free. We
were given the gift of salvation. "Salvation" means a deliverance. The idea is that we have been rescued by God
from a terrible fate, and brought through into a place of safety.” (Dr. Robert

For God loved the world
so much, that he gave His only beloved Son, in order that whoever believes in
Him might not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
Many people always find
something to whine about. God wants us to look at our situation in a
positive manner. His desire is to come to Him with our joys, our sadness
and our needs. He is not pleased when we complain to others about our
situation. In order to do this, we are encouraged to get rid of the negatives
and focus on the positives. Don't become so well adjusted to your culture
that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God.
You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from
you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging
you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops
well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:2
We were not promised
that life would be easy but we were told not to give in to worry. Don't fret or
worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries
into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense
of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle
you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ
displaces worry at the center of your life Philippians 4:6-7
Let us confess these words: “I refuse to confess Satan’s power over
me. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He
who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1John 4:4
