Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is
He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His
people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His
courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the LORD is good;
His loving kindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.
Psalm 100 God loves to hear us praise Him.
He created us so that He would have an awesome relationship with
us. Then God said, "Let us make
people in our image, to be like ourselves. They will be masters over all life
"the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the livestock, wild
animals, and small animals." So God created people in his own image; God
patterned them after himself; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:26-27
Adam and Eve blew that privilege when they disobeyed their Creator. They were fooled by the enemy of our
soul. God said, Oh no! I created mankind for my pleasure and not
yours! I will sacrifice my one and only
Son, Jesus Christ and He will buy my children back from you. They were not meant to be your slaves but my
treasures.
God gave us a free will to decide whom we would choose to
serve. Let me ask you a question. Do you desire to follow someone who wants to
hurt you? Satan, who is the father of all lies will
make you think that you are having an awesome time doing what you want, no
matter how destructive it is. You dont
think about the consequences until the day you face the King of Kings. It will be too late then and the enemy will
laugh in your face as he takes you down the road to eternal punishment.
Doesnt your heart fill up with joy when you think of Gods love for you?
Who else would give up his only child to die for someone who disappointed and
hurt him? We can show our gratitude by
recognizing God for who He is.
"Now, people of
We can also show Him our appreciation by praising Him. This is done, not only through lip service,
but through our actions. I beseech you
therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be
ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2
This means that we need to make a conscious decision to give up our old
sinful ways and study the Bible so that we will know how to live a life that is
pleasing to our Creator. He has given us
a Helper (the Holy Spirit) to live within us so that we will understand His
plan for us and follow His directions which will lead us to a most victorious
life. And you also became God's people when you heard the true message, the
Good News that brought you salvation. You believed in Christ, and God put his
stamp of ownership on you by giving you the Holy Spirit he had promised. Ephesians 1:13
