The Blessings Of God

Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ:

If we harken unto God and unto God’s Word, it brings blessings. To harken unto to God we must listen, and be attentive and in tune with Him to be able to hear what He wants to say to us. Listening to God is so important, more important than talking to Him.

If we walk in God’s Word, and not walk as we want to walk, that is in our own way, and we die to ourselves, and become alive in Christ Jesus, then putting away our own desires, then God will bless us in a way only He can.

Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

When we try to make ourselves rich with blessings in the worlds way there can be sorrow with it, especially if we take short cuts, but being blessed by God then there is no sorry, and we become tall in God’s richness.

Honour brings blessings, blessings brings riches, riches not only for our own comfort but the riches to be used for God’s Kingdom.

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Our soul must prosper spiritually for us to prosper financially from God the Father.  If our soul does not prosper, it doesn't matter how much finances we have, we are still a poor person, for all the prosperity in this world is worthless if our soul is not prospering.

Proverbs 28:20   A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

How do we get our soul to prosper:  I have three sayings for this, and they are found in the next three verses of God’s Word:

1 Thessalonians 5:17  Pray without ceasing.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

1 Corinthians 2:16   For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. How do we get to know the mind of Christ, by meditating on His Word day and night, filling our mind with His Word, and the more we fill our mind with God’s Word, the more blessings that will come our way.

We can’t go wrong if we meditate day and night, and spend our time praying without ceasing, so putting God’s Word into our spirit in prayer, what a giant we would become if we did this!!!

How many go about their daily chores as if there was no God, like watching TV at night when they could be putting the Word into their spirit, and spending time with God in prayer

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

These are strong words from our God, who is a God of Love, and even though He is a God of Love, He has standards, and we must abide by His standards if we want Him to bless us, do you agree.

To want God’s blessings, and to gain them, we have to spend time with God, and to know what He says we are to do, and to be, and the only way we will find out is being immersed in His Word, and in prayer with Him, talking to Him at every chance we can get.

It is of more value to talk to God than it is to talk to another man, or woman.

We should be able to talk to God in such a way that it is easier to talk to Him than it is to talk to a friend, at least God doesn't gossip, and give away our secrets, now does He.

1Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
