Being Born Again

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot SEE the kingdom of God.

I have always understood "SEE" to be, "enter into the kingdom of God", but if we do not shed off our old self, then we will not even see, know, or even get a glimpse of what the kingdom of God is like.

So many bring in their garbage from the world into the church that over the years the church has accepted what they bring in, instead of us teaching them the NEW WAY of LIFE.

How true it is that so many follow the worlds way, instead of us setting an example for the world to follow the way Jesus has set down before us!!!

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

1Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

How many today are truly Born Again in the Christian Church? Those who have turned off the TV to read the Word of God, the Holy Bible. Those who witness to others and take the ridicule, these are the ones who are born again.

How many are hanging onto their past, and even still living in their past!! Yet they claim they are born again, is there something wrong here?

Is it because we are taught wrong, is it, that there are those who have not caught the vision that Jesus has for us.

I personally think it is both, and we each one need to take a look at ourselves to see if we, that is you and I have been Born Again, and have changed since the day we accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, have we made Jesus Lord? Have we made ourselves open to Jesus for Him to make the changes necessary in our life that is needed.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

FEAR and TREMBLING? I am wondering, who are working out their Salvation in fear and trembling?

Are we, that is you and I, really working out our own Salvation with FEAR and TREMBLING. Can you and I really say we are, working out our own Salvation with fear and trembling.

Do we care enough that we are going to stand before Jesus, at the judgment seat, and will be judged on HOW WE HAVE BEHAVED, and WHAT WE SAY

So many go forward for prayer to accept Jesus, but do they really accept Jesus?

To accept Jesus, is to accept His Word, that is what is written in the Holy Bible.  To accept Jesus is to spend time with Him, both in prayer, and in reading His Word.  To accept Jesus is to start having our mind transformed, and to do that is to "PRAY WITHOUT CEASING"!!! "TO meditate day and night in the word of God"

When we get real for JESUS, we will do all of these things. They will come as a priority in our life, and not a secondary thing, such as if "I get time" attitude, or I am doing a work for the Lord, so I can fit it in somewhere. This is not the way it should be. Our worship, our wanting to talk to Jesus, our one desire should be wanting to talk to Jesus, wanting to be near to Him often as possible, if not all the time, so when we PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, we certainly fulfilling that desire. This should be the one desire of every Christian, and that is wanting to talk to Jesus, and be as near as possible to Him as we can.

I hear Christians say; I look forward to having a talk to Father God, they mean when they get to heaven. We do not have to wait until we go to be with Him for us to talk to Him and to receive answers, we can talk to Him now and receive our answers now!!!

Mat 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.

Jud 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Jud 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Dying to ourselves, giving up what is so dear to us, so we can serve our Lord and Master so much better.

This is where I am again at the moment, giving up things that I like, giving up the comfort of life to go forward, to go into the unknown, putting behind me what means so much to me, giving up my present life style and comforts to see what God has ahead for me.

Love and Blessings,

Ivan
