THE BRIDE

.

Ivan Pattison, Australia

ivan.jpgThe Bride of Christ preparation for The Groom, is for us to be overcoming, and a victorious people, so we will be prepared for His coming.

We need to a watchman continually preparing, and planning for His coming so we will not be caught unawares. Continually ironing out the wrinkles and getting rid of the spots that so readily trip us up, and most times un-expectantly.

Ephesians 5:26-27 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That Jesus might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Preparing for The King having on the Bridal Gown (Robes of Righteousness)

Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

We have for many years leaned towards the legal aspect of being righteous, but we must also experience the righteousness for our selves, and not just depend on the legal righteousness that we have been taught over the years.

Bob Mumford many years ago taught on this subject, and so for us to be a part of that Glorious Church, then we must ourselves overcome until we are made perfect in ourselves. Sure it is Jesus, Who makes us righteous, but we definitely must be tried in fire as in Revelation 3:18.

John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Is this what we have been taught in our churches today, I don’t think so, and if any one is being taught this, then they are truly blessed.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

WHO WAS OVERCOME and WHO HAS TO BE OVERCOME???  The great dragon, called the devil!!!

We do have to overcome him in all the aspects of our soulishness.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Let us not be deceived, for God is not mocked for what we sow we shall reap, don’t let anyone of us be deceived as so many are being deceived today, so let us walk uprightly, working out our Salvation with fear and trembling.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Love and Blessings

Ivan
