THE CHARACTER OF A CHRISTIAN

Living a Christian life is not just living a good life, for even an unrighteous man can live a good life, but living as a Christian is a life full of power, and dedication to God, and how many of us really have this power, that is so available to us if only we would take it on board.

We as Christians forget it is the Power that is within us that heals us, that we can do mighty things in the name of Jesus. This Power comes from the time we spend with God in prayer, and in His Word, and using His Word as a Sword to fight the enemy.

A woman last night on the phone said to me things should just happen, but they don’t as all things are Spiritual, and the closer we come to God the more attacks we will have from the enemy.

We have to fight for what we want, with the Word of God, in prayer.

It has taken me four months to get my new computer up and running and every time I take my computer back to the shop they change things so it messes me up, so now for the last month I have been sorting the problems out myself, and I will not be taking it back to the shop again, at least not without a lot of prayer.

I am going to have to get serious about Scriptural warfare here, even though I do pray the Scriptures it is not enough, I am going to have to get more serious, and will be spending more time than I do at the present time if I want a more efficient life style as I have had one attack after another since just before Christmas last year.

Ephesians 3:19-20 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

It is the power that works within us, it is the glory that is on us, it is no good going to church on Sunday and hoping, that will not get things done it is the Power that is within us that works.

Saturday , June 12th, 2004 Daily Guide to Miracles from Oral Roberts Ministries In Webster's Dictionary one of the definitions for the word power is "the ability to do or to act." Often we want to do certain things, but we don't have the ability to do them. For example, there's no way I could walk onto a basketball court and play with an NBA team. I don't have the ability!

Holman Bible Dictionary says in part; POWER The ability to act or produce an effect; the possession of authority over others. These two aspects of power are often related in Scripture. Because God has revealed His power in the act of creation, He has authority to assign dominion to whom ever He wills

This week's promise: (this is another message I receive from the Internet daily) "God will make all things new", I want to start life anew, to be forgiven and clean. Will God truly do that?
"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me." Psalm 51:10
Although we won't be entirely pure in this life, like David we can pursue purity as one of our primary goals.

I am not in total agreement with the above statement, as I believe if we really put our minds to it, we could be so much more perfect than we are at this present time.

Verlie Hobson from Sydney Australia, I understand believes that we can be made perfect, and I have to agree with her, and if we do have this idea in mind there is a chance that we will make it perfectly. If we don’t think we can be made perfect, then there is no hope for any one of us to be made perfect, as it is what we set our mind to and in Jesus Christ it will happen.

Genesis 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Is there anything too hard for God to do in our lives, no I don’t think so, so if He can give Sarah a son surely He can make us perfect.

Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I don’t think Jesus would have said this if He could not work the perfect work in us.

My friends let us each day be overcomers, and how do we do this, and that is the same way we would eat an elephant, one bite at a time, or one wrong item in our lives, that we wish to overcome.
