Effective Prayer

Jam 5:16 Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

King David was a man who humbled himself before the Lord often, and this is the kind of person, God wants to hear prayers from.

Having a right standing with God, this is so important, in having our prayers answered, and if we want our prayers answered. How many of us want to sacrifice something to receive from God, like going without food, or some pleasure, or even missing out on our favourite TV show, even if that is only the news report each evening.

What are you and I giving up, for the sake of receiving from God, and having a better life style, having healings, and our financial situation met.

Psa 34:18 The LORD [is] nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Many of us need our countries healed, we need healing in our families, so the one way of doing this is humbling ourselves and start a more serious prayer life.

Praying the Word of God is so important, in fact it is most important, that we pray the words that God has spoken in His Word.

If we have a need then we need to go to the Word and see what God says about that need, and pray His Word.

Jer 1:12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

Num 23:19 God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

If God is a man, that He does not lie, then why are so many Christians, not praying the Words God has already spoken, as they are more powerful than our own words, and God will back up His Word, with a hasty reply to our prayers. So many persist in praying their own words, instead of the words God has given to us to use in our prayers, is it that we do not know what God says in His Word, or is it just laziness on our part, in not going to the Word of God, and seeing what He says in there.

1Pe 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

The words that come through from God is; (submit), (humble), (confess), (commit)

Here are three things, that will help us receive from God:

1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

Psa 1:2 meditate day and night.

1Cr 2:16 Having the mind of Christ.

If we followed these Scriptures, our life would turn around, not that we would have less problems, but our life would turn around, and more of our prayers would be answered!!

Commit our ways unto the Lord and He shall direct our paths

Psa 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.

Pro 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

The words I received for the month September 2006

HEAVEN by FORCE are the words that comes to me at this time.
Take HEAVEN by FORCE If we want to experience heaven here on earth.
Take HEAVEN by FORCE if we desire to defeat satan.
Take HEAVEN by FORCE if we desire to Glorify God,
Take HEAVEN by FORCE if we really want to overcome. .

Mat 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
My dictionary says that FORCE is; (Capacity or power for work or vigorous activity)

Over the years if someone wanted something, and there was a resistance, then force was the way to receive it, so if we want what God has for us, then the way to get it, is by force in our prayer life, using the Word of God as a Sword.

Hbr 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

So why are so many not praying the Word of God, for their needs, especially for healing and finances.

There are blockages to prayers not being answered, so here are only a few of the headings to blockages, such as, not forgiving, not being in unity with all of the brethren, not overcoming, having pride, no consideration for others, and of course there are other things that cause blockages to our prayers. If we are not receiving our prayers answered, then we should be asking our Father in Heaven, what are the blockages!!

Jam 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
