Peace Brings Serenity to the soul.

Psa 122:1 [[A Song of degrees of David.]] I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Isa 2:3 Zec 8:21

Just the thought of going to the House of the Lord, brings a joy, a peace and a quiet excitement to my soul. Peace and quietness, both to our soul, and around us, must be the best blessing that God has for us.

I have many favourite Psalms, but Psalm 122:1 must be my most favourite, and when this Psalm comes into my mind, I visualise King David, and his Love for God, making his way to the house of our Lord God, to be as close as he can be to Him.

I would love to spend more time in the church that I go to, in fact I mentioned to the Pastor there one Sunday night, how lovely it would be if I could have the experience that I have when I go there, every day, as there is such an anointing.

We do have to come down from the mountain experience, so we can be a witness to others, and also to experience the valley, for it is in the valley we grow.

Phl 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I love living in the bush, where one hears the birds singing, and all those other different noises of the bush, and these noises do not disturb the peaceful and quiet setting, as it would seem they belong there, and of course they do.

The noises of the bush are peaceful, and they do not upset the quietness in the natural places of God, the noise of the bush, is a peaceful noise, if you can understand what I am saying.

13th May 06, Friday night, I attended a Bible study, and on the menu was about how Abraham let Lot choose the land he wanted, other than there be strife between their herdsmen.

Abraham chose peace even though it could mean hardship for him and his household, which it did, as Lot chose the greener pastures.

Gen 13:11

Gen 13:6

Gen 13:7

Gen 13:8

Choose ye today to whom you will serve, peace or strife.

Jos 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; .................. but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

In Joshua 24:15, says it a bit different, but if we choose to serve the Lord, then we should be choosing to be peaceful, and have peace and a quietness within us, and around us.

Jhn 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Here we have Jesus saying that He has given us peace, a peace within, but in some cases we do have to make decisions, to bring about peace, that is outward peace, and there are those occasions that we can make decisions to bring about outward peace and sometimes we cannot change the outward situation. If there is turmoil around us, we can still have that peace of God inside of us.

One of the names of Jesus is, "The Prince of Peace",

Isa 9:6 Peace, peace, sweet peace,
Wonderful gift from above;
O wonderful, wonderful peace,
Sweet peace, the gift of God's love!

A chorus from the Salvation Army Song book.

Peace brings comfort, and rest, peace perfect peace comes down from God.

Lev 26:6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make [you] afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

In the last days, and we are in them now, with a lot of things going on around us, we certainly need the peace of God in our life.

Nah 1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

Jhn 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Here we see in John 16:33, we see here that Jesus says; that we might have peace in Him, but in the world we will have tribulations, and Jesus also says He has over come the world, in other words Jesus has overcome the world for us.

It is up to us to make decisions to have quietness and peace within.

Love and Peace, Ivan
