PATTISON’S PERSPECTIVE
.
Author Ivan Pattison, Australia
HAVE YOU SET A PLACE
FOR JESUS?
Have we set a place
for Jesus in our heart? Did you know that Jesus should take up all the room in
our heart, if not He should.
The Word of God says:
Matthew 6:33 But seek
ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall
be added unto you. (read verses 30 to
34)
What part in our
life, that is, your life, and my life, have we set aside for Jesus. Does Jesus have all of our life, or does He
only have the day of worship in our life.
What portion of our life does He have, a day here, or a day there, maybe
a few minutes in the morning, or a short time as we rush around doing OUR
THING.
If Jesus came to us,
that is to you and to me, our bodily home, (His Temple) would there be a place
for Him in there, or would our life be so cluttered that He would have to stand
outside.
Since writing my last
News Letter, and going over the Scriptures that the Holy Spirit gave me to use,
it has been on my mind, about a closer walk with Jesus.
I never write
anything without the Holy Spirit speaking to me in my writings, and I believe
that the Holy Spirit loves talking to me, and I need to be just as keen to
listen to Him as He is keen to talk to me.
What I write, the way
I write the words are given to me from the Holy Spirit, and I will always
believe this, especially when they speak to me so loud and clear., Maybe even
louder than they are speaking to you, the person who is now reading these words
I am writing.
Matthew 7:14 BECAUSE
STRAIT IS THE GATE, AND NARROW IS THE WAY, WHICH LEADETH UNTO LIFE, AND FEW
THERE BE THAT FIND IT.
I truly hope and pray
that you and I are among those who are walking the narrow path.
Recently I dreamt that
I had stopped a man in the street, and asked him, "are you going to
heaven". When and where was the
last time we, that is you and I, stopped someone in the street, or even when
sitting with someone and asked them, "are you going to heaven". The man in
my dream replied; "no I am not", and I replied I am sorry for
you, and the conversation continued along those words.
Should we be button
holing some one in the street and asking them "are you going to
heaven". I certainly have been
given a challenge in my dream. Am I, with this writing giving you a
challenge!!!
If we have set a
place for Jesus in our life this will be a challenge for both you and me, but
if there is no challenge here, then we had better re think our Salvation.
Philippians 2:12
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and
trembling.
Is Jesus saying the
following words to us, as He did to the church.
Revelation 3:15 I
know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or
hot.
Revelation 3:16 So
then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out
of my mouth.
With my writings I
want to get you thinking, and it is important for both of us to think. Do you
also know as I write I am learning, the Holy Spirit shows me things that I
never could have thought of, by myself, and many who teach, write, and share in
many different ways, receive revelations from the Holy Spirit. Do you know that
Gems from God's Throne can be lost if we have an unreachable spirit, like
throwing the Jewels out with the Jewel box, and none of us do that, So many do
this with teaching, and they throw so much good teaching out. The teachable
spirit is the one that listens to one another.
We do not always have
to agree, but listening, and storing for further instructions from the Holy
Spirit to us personally. I would prefer to tell you I love you a thousand times
than to say something to you even once, that would that would hurt you.
Have a great day,
keep smiling and enjoy it with Jesus.
Let the Joy of the
Lord be your strength.
Love and Blessings
Ivan
