WILL JESUS RETURN?

------ Ivan Pattison, Australia -----

Matthew 22:8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
Matthew
22:10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

I believe this is where we are, at the moment, as some of our leading TV Evangelists, as they are going into the third world countries, and winning millions to Christ. There is, I believe much more to be done before Jesus will be coming back to take us home in a rapture.

Why are we looking for a rapture to take us out of here when there is so much for the Kingdom to be achieved? It is such a selfish plan, though one day Jesus will come in the clouds, and draw us unto Himself. Though even today Jesus is trying to draw us unto Him, and I wonder how many of us are in tune with Him.

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem . . . How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks . . . " Luke 13:34 NLT

We should be grieving over lost souls, as Jesus wept over the city; Luke 19:41
Jeremiah had it right when he wrote;

Jeremiah 9:1  Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

Here are some more interesting verses that go with Jeremiah 9:1  Jer 4:19 13:17 14:17 Ps 119:136 Isa 16:9 22:4

Lam 2:11,18,19 Lam 3:48,49 Eze 21:6,7 weep (KJV): Ps 42:3 the daughter (KJV): Jer 6:26 8:21,22

My understanding of the Old Testament Scriptures is that God put His people through a testing time before they came into a milk and honey situation. They all went through affliction before God removed them from their current situation. The Israelites before being brought out of Egypt, they went through much hardship, as their work load was increased. Noah spent all of those years building an Ark, before the rain came, and Noah's faith would have grown with the ridicule he would have gone through. Job also was in a situation that his wife said to him; curse God and die, Job 2:9 and he received no support and encouragement from his wife and friends. God wants us, that is you and me, to draw so much more closer to Him, and be more like Him, with tears in our eyes, before He takes us into the Promised land, in a rapture. A broken spirit, and a contrite heart Psalm 51:17, is acceptable unto our God

Jesus is coming for a white washed church, and we are not there as yet, are we?

When you and I feel and have a love for one another, as we feel and have love for the most loved one in our life, then we are starting to go places with God.

I have for many years now believed that the church is not at this time ready to be caught up, as in a rapture. I have also heard recently from at least one American outstanding TV Evangelist say the same thing. That is right we are not at this time ready for Jesus to come. Very few of us have really made an effort to get rid of the pollution that is in us. Many of us have just lived a religious life style, whether that be Pentecostal or Main Line Religion, and putting our trust in the verse that says; "I am the righteousness of Christ", and of course we are, but we do have to work at it all of the time.

I believe that it is when we that is you and me come to a place where we HAVE TO CRY OUT TO GOD, because things have become so hard, for us to bare. I believe this to be so before the rapture of the Church. Most do not like me saying this because none of us want to go through hard times, but it is hard times that molds us into Gold, and cleanseth us from impurities.

Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

We as Christians are not overcoming as we ought, especially when it comes to food, and we still follow much after what the flesh wants and not enough after what God wants. Yes each one of us must be over comers, in every part of our life, we must press in, if we want to be with God the Father in heaven.

Revelation 3:18  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

The thing is, we are walking so much in our own righteousness, when it has to be God that makes us righteous, in His Power, not our effort, and to do this we have to draw closer to Him. Our effort is, to pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Let us commit our ways unto the Lord, and be a delight unto Him.

Joshua 3:5  And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.

Romans 8:5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:6  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:7  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Malachi 2:10  Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

I believe before the rapture that we as Christians will have to come into unity with each other, what ever religion, or teaching we have grown up under, if a person is a Christian, then we have to treat that person as such. When we truly have that love, the love, the Father God, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit has for us, then we are getting some where with our walk with our God, and with His people.

Let us stop tearing down each other, and not only having love for those we care to love, but have that Love, that is for all, that is have Love for all. THE LOVE, that reaches out to every one, and not only some.

Matthew 5:46-47  For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Ivan has Love that's hard to quench, that is the Love of Jesus
I may not have it all yet but I am receiving more Love from Jesus, than I had.

Shalom and Love, Ivan
