GOD'S WORD – VITAL TO
LIFE
Making the word of God of none effect through
your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
John 8:30-32 As he spake these words, many
believed on him. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye
continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the
truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Freedom is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and
Saviour, and when we accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour, we are suppose to be
accepting the Word of God, that is both Jesus and the words written in the HOLY
BIBLE. At first we are putting the Word of God in us in a legal sense through
accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, then we are to continue in renewing
our mind by studying and putting God’s written Word within us.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make
you free, ye shall be free indeed.
.
The Son makes us free through our faith in
Him, and His Word going into us, which in the beginning is a legal process, and
certainly we become free through the process of His Word becoming active and
indwelling in us.
The Holy Spirit will show us the truth as we
study the Word of God, and as we read and study the Word, it will give us
freedom
Deuteronomy 30:14 But the word [is] very nigh unto
thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that WE may do it!!!
Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is
nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith,
which we preach;
Of course we must first of all put the Word
in our heart by studying the Word, and what is in our heart will come out our
mouth (Matthew 12:34). First we must look at the legal side of what God says
...... then we must experience the Word of God. The legal and faith aspect of
accepting Jesus is when we first ask Him into our heart, the second step is to
continue putting Jesus in us, by putting God’s Word in us, that is the written
Word that is in the Holy Bible.
I once wondered how we could have the mind of
Christ, and have our mind on Him consistently, then I came to the place where I
realized that to have the mind of Christ, is to continually as much as possible
to have His Word in front of us as much as possible.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not
depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that
thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then
thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Psalm 1:2 But his delight [is] in the law
of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
The Jews had what was called frontlets that
they could put between their eyes.
Frontlets is a band or phylactery worn on the
forehead, and as I understand it with Scripture written on it, so those wearing
it can read the Scripture on it, so keeping the Scriptures before their eyes.
Deuteronomy 11:18 Therefore shall ye lay up these
my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your
hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
Exodus 13:16 And it shall be for a token upon
thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the
LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.
Deuteronomy 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a
sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
Love and Blessings,
