WISDOM & KNOWLEDGE
It is said that if we read
one chapter of Proverbs and two or three chapters of Psalms per day, for two
years, our life would change.
All of our wisdom comes from God our Father, any wisdom that man has
accumulated, has come from God the Father in the first place.
We have God’s Word to glean
our wisdom from, such as from Proverbs and Psalms, especially from Proverbs.
If any of us goes to a man for advice and direction, let us make sure it is a
man that really knows the heart of God our Father, like the Prophets of old.
There are very few that I
can go to for advice and talk things over with, my best advice comes from the
Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God our Father.
We do need one another, but
let us not depend on one another, but let our dependency be on Jesus, and let
His Authority be our guide.
How many of us really
hunger and thirst after God’s way, and after His Wisdom, how many of us really
want what God has for us?
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh
to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
So many Christians lack wisdom these days, and
find themselves in all sorts of trouble and adds problems to their life. If
things seem to be going OK today, unless we are on the watch then sudden
destruction comes, as the Scripture puts it, maybe not a big thing straight
off, but we will find ourselves in trouble unless we WATCH AND PRAY when things
are going right, that is the time to prepare our way with Jesus for things to
come, due to the fact that things can turn around overnight, and we find
ourselves in rough waters.
We do not look for problems or trouble, but we
prepare for the future in prayer and meditation, that is meditating on the Word
of God every day.
Psalms 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my
feet, and a light unto my path.
How often do we see it written in the
Scriptures, "THE WORD OF THE LORD CAME" and in the Old Testament, it
came from the mouth of a Prophet. Knowing the Scriptures is so important for
our well being.
It is so important today that we not only know the Scriptures, but speak them
out over our situation that is present and that will be our situation in the
future, it is often too late to start using them when the problem is on us.When
we know the Scriptures the Holy Spirit will use them to guide our path, by
bringing them to our mind.
Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them,
Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Never forget satan is always planning something
for us, that is for you and me, so let us be wise and be ready for battle, and
be in battle mode, for surely there will come night and day so there will be a
battle ahead for us to conquer the enemy.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the
plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
