Hello and
greetings from the beautiful state of Washington (where God lives). J Our main
topic for this month is “The Holy Spirit” – and I am
excited to write about Him this morning. There are
different opinions in the Body of Christ, concerning the Holy Spirit and this
magazine may print more than one point-of-view; I believe that the one thing
that we all agree on is that when we accept Jesus Christ as the only begotten
Son of God, as our Savior and Redeemer, the Holy Spirit moves into our heart (or spirit) and abides there. Jesus said:
However,
I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor,
Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you
[to be in close fellowship with you]. John 16:7 AMP “Comforter,
Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercession, Strength and Standby” - what a priceless Gift
Jesus gave us! Amen Reader? Jesus also said: “But when the Comforter is come,
whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth
from the Father, He shall testify of me: 27: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me
from the beginning.” John 15:26-27 “Howbeit when he, the
Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not
speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he
will show you things to come. 14: He shall glorify me:
for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you”. John 16:13-14 “But ye shall receive
power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 I received
Jesus as my Savior when I was five. When I was eight years old, I had a
life-changing experience with the Holy Spirit – and since that day, He has
been a major part of my every-day life. When The Holy Spirit “COMES
UPON YOU” it is an additional experience to the day that you are born again
and He comes to abide with you. I am not a
Bible-Scholar and I do not get into arguments about the Scripture; I am just
hear to share with you my own personal experience with The third part of The
Trinity, The Holy Spirit. Jesus had a
lot to say about The Holy Spirit, and it is a wonderful Bible study. What I
have to say about the Holy Spirit is that HE IS REAL! HE IS POWER, HE IS
ever PRESENT! The Spirit
of God is the One who communicates God’s will to His Body (the church); The Holy Spirit is the
One who gives Wisdom when we ask (James 1:5); The Holy Spirit is the
One who directs our steps (Pr 16:9 + 20:24); The Holy Spirit is the
One who gives us power and boldness to witness to others (Acts
1:8); The
Holy Spirit is the One who Teaches us all truth (John
16:13-14);
The Holy Spirit is the One who posses all of the ministry gifts and the
“fruit” that Jesus told us to put on (1Cor 12-14; Gal 5:22). The Holy Spirit is the
Anointing and the Glory and the Presence of God that we all crave. I wouldn’t
want to live one day without Him in my life! Amen Reader? God the
Father rules and reigns from Heaven; Jesus is now sitting at His Right hand,
praying for us; The Holy Spirit still moves on the earth, just as He did In
Genesis 1:2. Is the Holy
Spirit alive and active in your life today?
He is a free gift from God The
