Thanksgiving –
A Lifestyle

Many
families set aside a special time on Thanksgiving Day, usually during the
great-feast they’ve prepared, to share with others the things they’re most
thankful for. I think this is a wonderful tradition, yet sad that it’s usually
reserved for holidays alone.
When
we grow into living a thankful-lifestyle, life takes a turn toward JOY and CONTENTMENT
that we can know no other way.
Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am
helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise
him.
Ever
hear: “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” Ever been asked: “Is
the Cup is half-full – or half empty?” Well,
you wont find either of the above in the Bible, it’s not “Scripture” - but it
is most certainly the attitude that we, as Christians should live by; and must
live by - if we want a “better” – “blessed” and “happy” life.
If
we were to sit down together, and take a microscopic look at your life, and
mine – we would, without question, find things that could be better. However…
we can look at each situation in our life and realize, according to GOD’S
REPORT (Bible) - they are all
subject to change! According to GOD, your FATHER – HE WILL bring GOOD from
every situation!
When
we get our focus over onto the goodness and faithfulness of God, and see each
situation in our life through His Word, see it with VICTORY stamped
all over it… the situation moves to a new position in our life, our perspective
changes, and joy rules once again.
Please
let me challenge you, with this short article, to turn a corner today: Look at
life through God’s Word… see it as He saw it when He said that He is “…working
to perfect all things that concern you.” Psalm 138:8
God
is GOOD – And He’s Your Father! The Father who “delights in giving good
gifts to His kids.”
If
the joy of your life is determined by daily situations, the enemy can relax –
you’ll choose to stay depressed and unhappy, without any help from him.
Choose
to turn that corner today. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you to live a life of
thanksgiving.

Want to LOOK GOOD? Proverbs 15:13 A
merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the
spirit is broken.
¨
Want to FEEL GOOD? Proverbs 17:22 A
merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
¨
Need PEACE-of-MIND? Psalm 16:9
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in
hope.
¨
Need STRENGTH to hold on? Psalm 27:14
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalm
9:1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole
heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
Psalm
27:8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart
said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
Psalm
32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye
righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
Psalm
33:21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because
we have trusted in his holy name.
Psalm

shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
God
bless you and yours with a grateful-heart and a lifestyle of thanksgiving.
Shalom!
