Refiner’s Fire
More
and more I realize that the way I am moving in my faith today is how I am going
to walk in the victories of my tomorrow; for faith without substance is dead. Let
us recognize that faith is working together with HIS essence, and by that
essence our faith is made perfect. (James
2:20-22)
It
would seem the pathway we are walking is familiar, yet we have never traveled
this way before. We know the deeper we travel along this pathway, the greater
the assurance of tomorrow’s victory. The genuiness of our faith is being made
much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire. May we
be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revealing of Christ Jesus within
us. (1 Peter 1:7)
Each
one of us has a responsibility to arise to the matter of our own spiritual
growth and depth of relationship with Him. In today’s religious circles there
is a deception and disloyalty to the truth when it comes to God’s purifying
fire that purges the world’s broadly traveled path. Why? Because we as true
believers are supposed to walk the narrow way which is not as attractive as the
broadly traveled way. Why? “He who called
you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.” (1Peter 1:15)
There
is truly a beauty of sorts in this type of purifying fire most will never
understand. Being holy is being set apart unto God and from this world. And
because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who
endures to the end shall be saved. God’s refiner’s fire purges away within our
hearts areas that have wandered from His truth. He does this so that we may
hold our ground in conflict and bear up against adversity, to hold out under
stress, stand firm in our faith, and persevere under pressure to wait calmly
with courage and brave endurance.
May
we allow the Refiner’s Fire to purge us of all our unholy ways so that He
will give us our treasures taken from darkness and hidden riches of secret
places that we may know that He is our Lord who calls us by name to walk the
victorious pathway ahead.
Praying through to victory ~
Father God … may our eyes be set on You … You who dwells in heavenly
places. We desire to ride the clouds with You today. Our eyes look to You as
our hearts call out to respect everything good and precious. Help us Lord to
overpower our soulish realm and walk in heartfelt grace for Your mercy does
triumph over judgment. Help us to put forth something good for You to work in
and through. In Jesus name we pray … amen ~
