SIX GUIDELINES FOR THE ANOINTING IN YOUR LIFE
#1. The anointing
is for everybody.
For some strange
reason many Believers think that the Anointing is just for the Five Fold Ministry
or a few special people. Rest assured that the anointing is for all Believers.
Acts
10:34-35 “Then Peter opened his mouth and said: ‘In truth I perceive that God
shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works
righteousness is accepted by Him.’”
John
14:12-13 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works
that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I
go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father
may be glorified in the Son.”
#2.
The Anointing is a constant flowing river of life.
Rev
22:1-2 “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal,
proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street,
and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve
fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were
for the healing of the nations.
Ps
46:4 “There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy
Place of the tabernacle of the Most High.”
Ps
36:8-9 “They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and
thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the
fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.”
Some
seem to think that the Anointing is reserved for only special times at church
or a meeting. But the anointing is for every day and every aspect of our
lives. Best yet, it is always flowing from Gods wonderful
throne.
#3. RENEW IT
DAILY!
All
you have to do to maintain the anointing in your life is to renew it every day.
Lam
3:22-23 Through the LORD'S mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions
fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
Never
get into the habit of neglecting your devotional life or your fellowshipping
with other Believers.
#4.
WHEN THERE IS AN ANOINTING, SOMETHING ALWAYS HAPPENS!
When
the Anointing is manifested in our hearts, churches, or ministries, something
will always happen.
Acts
10:38 "Now God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with
power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the
devil, for God was with Him.”
Let
me tie this thought together for you with a portion of scripture from 1John.
And one from Acts.
I John 2:20 “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know
all things.”
Acts 1:8 "But you
shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses
to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the
earth."
The
anointing is with us at all times and as we learn to move in it more and more
we will see more of God in our lives.
#5.
What Jesus did we should be doing and we can with the enabling of the
Anointing. It will require that we abide in Him.
John 15:5-8 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and
I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "If anyone
does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they
gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you
abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it
shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much
fruit; so you will be My disciples.”

The Anointing is very much like electricity, "when used properly it
produces great results."
When
used improperly it will result in hurt and frustration. When it is not
understood people will be afraid of it. And when ignored it will lay dormant
inside of us just waiting to be released.
Electricity
was always available to us, but it took Benjamin Franklin's experiments to
release it. Don't be afraid to walk in the anointing and keep trying it out in
your life. One of these days it will click inside you and you will
never be the same again.
