CAUGHT UP IN THE
MIDDLE!
For the NEW YEAR, instead of making a resolution, which in
itself signifies a “problem” exists… (resolve) I have been lead to make a
choice, a decision to do things differently this year around. Resolutions are too easy to dishonor because
they are only an idea… and if the idea becomes uncomfortable then they quickly
fade away along with the other resolutions we have made in years gone past.
I had the pleasing opportunity to listen to a song recently
by MercyMe.
Its called “Caught up in the middle of YOU” I must tell you the
song stirs my spirit. It talks about how
this person has found how to become “part of the story”, being embraced by the
arms of GLORY (Amen!) He sings about
how he KNOWS God’s Spirit is alive and on the move, he wants to be caught up in
his Spirit and be a part of What he KNOWS God’s gonna do. It’s an
awesome song! You know what? WE SHOULD ALL WANT THAT!
I know I want that.
Think of it….Don’t you want to be part of the story?
Not just a bystander? Don’t you want to be available?
Available is a conjunction of two root words. Avail and Capable. Avail or “to avail” means to have or to get
something or to make oneself ready.
Capable mean to have the ability to do something. So, to be available means
to BE READY AND ABLE. If we are
available, God will use us according to his GLORY! Amen?
I have been a Spirit-filled Christian for over 20 years and
I have had the glorious opportunity to serve our Father in several ways. Several years ago, it always felt like we
were “building” something. Ministering
to people, building relationships, but today… It is different. The expectancy that I and others I know are
feeling today is a fervent urgency. The
coming movement of the Spirit is going to be strong and powerful, like none
have seen before. He needs us to be
faithful servants and be available to Him to use as He needs. I believe He will make His ways and His love
known to us this coming year in ways we could not imagine or conceive. I encourage all of you to make the DECISION
to make 2006 your banner year of your Christian walk. Make the DECISION to PRAY daily, to read the
WORD daily, to COMMUNE with Him daily.
Make yourself AVAILABLE to Him.
Be bold and courageous in your walk and your witness. Praise Him as He INHABITS our praise. Make HIM the center of your life and He will
CHANGE you. How can we not be changed by
His Presence? Amen?
