LETTER FROM A FRIEND

Proverbs 25: 11 & 25 (the message)
11 - "A word fitly spoken iis like apples of gold.
25- Like a cool drink of water when you're worn out and weary is a letter from a long-lost friend.
I have found in my life, the times when I am the most tired and worn out is exactly the time when I need to get into the Word. When I am obedient to do this, I find that He is faithful to supply a “letter” to encourage and empower my soul and spirit.
It is so inspiring to have a friend like Jesus who provides for us, protects us, covers us, heals us and loves us with a love that will not cease. When we are bounced around by life and we are bruised and tender, to have the ointment of the Holy Spirit cover us and minister to our every ache and pain and make us whole again is something that cannot be matched by anything on this earth.
As we are encouraged by the Word when we are weary, it is our responsibility as Christians to be that friend to others. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your hand and heart to lead you to the one who needs encouragement. It may be in the form of a note, a prayer, a hug or simply just listening.
Proverbs 25:11-
The right word at the right time
is like a custom-made piece of jewelry.
Or, it may be an encouraging scripture, or sharing your testimony. In these days and the ones ahead, we need to be sensitive to the Spirit to minister to all of his children the lost and the saved.
The enemy seeks to destroy all of us, especially those with authority over him through Christ Jesus. Take the time, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, be an encouragement. Ask, listen and respond. You have no idea what that person is going through, God my want to use you to minister to them and save their life, and He may just be saving yours in the process.
