The Transformation of "Super-Chicken" to "Super-Umma"
"Can we do it
again?" 'Terra-the-Fearless' screamed with glee halfway
through the 55mph roller coaster ride. Six year old Terra and her 'Ubba-the-Brave' had ventured the adventure of 'California Screamin' in southern
'Fox-the-Cautious' and 'Umma the Urpee' had been the SMART ones! We
just shook our heads at them and muttered..."They're NUTS!" A
'g-force
face lift' with a 'reverse tummy tuck' didn't sound that fun to us.
But when 'Fox-the-Cautious'
conquered another roller coaster ride...
And of course, being 'Umma-the-Urpee',
I had to tell him the story of
fear ruling my life till the age of 45. How proud I was of him..that at
the age of 10 he had conquered the same fear that took me 45 years to
conquer!
Fear is a limiter and controller! Fear can
rule our lives...believe me I know! My list of fears, before my faith in God,
were longer then Santa's 'good kids' list!
But faith in God...the faith
that knows He takes care of me and that what ever happen was HIS plan for HIS
reasons... has changed my life.
I know I was trapped by the
"cage" of the devils induced fear. Fear..which comes only from the evil one..had me so limited that there was NO WAY I could have
ventured out to do ANYTHING God had planned for my life. The 'stupid one' had
me right where he wanted me..NOT
walking by faith..NOT
trusting in that God would take care of me.
My faith in God and His Son has increased
SO much...by reading God's
word. And as my faith in how strong God's arms are, grows, my fears are
dwindling.
I'm not "Super-Umma"
yet...but I know as my faith in my All Powerful
God increases,...someday I may be!
Drive on ice? NO PROB! God's controlling my
car...there are angels on
my bumper!"
Drive to
Speak in front of the church? (no
one in church is suppose to be sitting there in their underwear...tried to
imagine that...but...YUCK!) NO PROB!
I may be nervous, but God let's me know SOMEONE needs to hear this...so
I read on, trusting in God with determination.
Fear grips each of us, in one way or another. And the world doesn't realize the
limits fear put on us. Even the nightly news grips us with fear...so we will
stay tuned in.
But freedom from fear is the most amazing thing that has happened in my life.
The power of God and faith in Him has transformed my life.
The secret is
FAITH! FAITH CREATES
FREEDOM!
I praise my God daily! I'm free from fear
and reaching for my red cape!... soon to transform
from "Super-Chicken" to "SUPER-UMMA"!
