SHUT UP!!

"What does
"Peace and Quiet" mean?" - I asked my toothless,
angel-faced granddaughter. "It's when everybody shuts up", she
lisped with a grin.
She's got it right....
from a six-year-old point of view. But from a fifty-year-old point of view,
I've found that "Peace and Quiet" is a lot deeper than "shutting
up".
John 14:27 gives us the promise
of peace sent from Jesus, but NOT of this
world....a SUPERNATURAL peace... "Peace I leave with
you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the
world gives....." And in Galatians 5:22
"...the fruit
of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE…” Peace comes
from the Holy Spirit, promised through Christ. It's a supernatural
calmness created and handed to us, for the asking, from God. It's and inner
calmness that brings complete joy!
So, as my granddaughter would
say,.."SHUT
UP!"
Listen to the
"Peace and Quiet" that ONLY the Holy Spirit can bring.
It's not like anything else on earth!
Wishing you all would
just "SHUT UP”!
