THE GOD KIND OF LOVE

Pastor Ronald L. Berry, Washington

God is love.

The Bible states that “God is Love”.

1Jn:4:16 “God is love” “he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him”

With what kind of love does God love?

God loved us while we were sinners.

God loves sinners.

Rom:5:8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

One must ask himself, if God loved me when I was a lost sinner, does He still love me when I, as His child sin?

When we sin, we are doing a wrong towards God but, does He stop loving us?

Unconditional human love.

There are those that love cats, in spite of the bad habits they have, such as sharpening their claws on the furniture.

There are those that love dogs, in spite of the problems of fleas, barking, and digging holes in the yard.

People love babies in spite of the crying, messy diapers, and having to carry them every where.

God loves us unconditionally.

God loves us with the same type of unconditional of love.

God’s love puts up with the negative aspects of our lives.

God loves us even when we don’t love Him in return.

God bless us whether we are evil or good. WOW!

Mt:5:45: “he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust”

It is God’s nature to love, if He were to stop loving, He would no longer be God.

God loves his enemies.

As children of God we are given instructions to conduct ourselves in unconditional love.

When we do, we are told that we are acting like our Father.

We are told to love our enemies and in so doing, we will be like our Father.

Lk:6:35: But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

God does not ask us to be what He is not?

God initiates reconciliation with his enemies.

God reconciled us while we were yet His enemies, through the death of Christ.

No effort put forward by us could bring reconciliation between God and man.

It is only the offended party that can grant the opportunity to be reconciled.

Thank God He is a God of grace, reconciliation, and love.

Rom:5:10: For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

God sends good things on his enemies and on his friends.

God does good to His enemies.

God blesses those that curse Him.

God loves unconditionally for that is who He is!

Matt 5:44: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

The love chapter.

AMP 1 Cor 13:4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].

Love and god are synonymous with each other.

Remember that God is love!

1Jn:4:8: “God is love”

Since God is love then Love is God.

We can then interpose these to words in this scripture and no injustice to God or the scriptures.

Jesus loves us the same way the father loves us!

Jesus lived a life of love toward all.

Jn:15:9: As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

Jn:15:13: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Mk:10:45: For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

The mark of a true born-again child of god.

AMP 1 Cor 13:1 IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God's love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

2 And if I have prophetic powers ( the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).

3 Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or in order that I may glory, but have not love (God's love in me), I gain nothing.

Do you have unconditional love living in you?

1Jn:4:16: “God is love” “he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him”

Have a GOD-day!
