IN THE IMAGE OF GOD
Gen 1:27: So God created
man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female
created he them.
¨ We were created to
reflect the image of the Father.
¨ We were never designed to
be gods.
¨ We were created to be in
the image of God.
A mirror reflects the
image of the thing in front of it and in the same way we are to reflect the
image of God on the earth!
Geneses 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman,
Ye shall not surely die:
5: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be
opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
We were never created to be like God, we were created to be the image of God.
The devil said that like God we could decide between what is good and evil.
Choosing between good and evil is solely the domain of God.
Our choices are don’t determined by our opinion of what is good and evil but
rather what God has determined to be good and evil.
Isaiah 14:12-14 How art
thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how
art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast
said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I
will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of
the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of
the clouds; I will be like the most High.
We can clearly the
se in these scriptures that the agenda of the devil is to be God and in fact to
be exhausted even higher then God.
Many subscribe to his
doctrines and attempt to be the sole deciding factor concerning good and evil.
No matter how insignificant a thing in our lives we are not the ones to
determine it’s merit if it be good - or evil.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in
me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son
of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
