THE
MINISTRY OF MOTHERHOOD
MOTHER’S
DAY.
This is a day we have set aside to remember
mothers.
Mothers day is not a religious
day but rather a secular holiday.
Mt:
God
made mothers.
As we look into the real meaning of mother’s day
we should remember that it was God the Father that established the ministry of
motherhood.
Gen:
:23 And
:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his
mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
The first mother.
She birthed the first children.
She also suffered the first heart aches involved
with motherhood as a ministry.
Whether one births the child or not many have taken on the ministry of mothering.
One does not have to biologically birth a child
to be called into the ministry of motherhood.

When
Gen 4:1: And
2: And she again bare his brother
The pains of birth.
The high levels of pain endured at birth, are
soon forgotten when the baby is presented to the mother.
Gen 3:16: Unto the woman he (God) said, I will greatly
multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt
bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule
over thee.
The gifting for the ministry of motherhood is implanted
deep in the heart of mothers.
The mother’s love.
The ministry of comfort, care, and love is placed
in the mother to enable her to carry out her commission of motherhood.
This is a calling placed in the heart of all
women.
The heart to BE A mother.
At a very young age it is evident that a young
girl has something uniquely placed in them to prepare them for this exhaled
ministry.
The toy doll is usually the favorite toy of
little girls.
They rock them, pamper them, and hug them as a
natural course of their development.
The joy and pain of motherhood happens to all
mothers.
The child that hurts themselves,
also hurts their mothers.
Empathy and love are inborn in all mothers and as
the child hurts, so the mother hurts.

The tragedy was bad enough, but the pain
Even after the pain of, the murder of one of her
sons and the exile of the other,
Gen 4:25: And
Gen:5:4: And the days of
Today’s
mothers.
This pain and joy has not changed for today’s
women, the miss deeds of her child still cut them to the heart.
Some of you have felt the pain of sickness,
death, or the failure of a child.
Some mother’s hearts are scarred by the death of
a child.
Some are scarred by the life of crime their
children have lead.
High
hopes.
Our dreams and hopes for our child are always for
the best and when something arises to rob them of that the hurt is personally
felt by the mother and father.
There are precious few mothers that have had the
luxury of avoiding this type of pain.
NLT 1 Cor 13:4 Love is patient and
kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud
:5 or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love
is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged.
:6 It is never glad about injustice but rejoices
whenever the truth wins out.
:7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always
hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
8 Love will last forever,
today
We are gathered here to bless our mothers because
we all know we have brought pain at one time or another.
Few if any children have avoided hurting mom in
some manner or another.
It does not take much to bandage the damage we
have done to mom.
A smile will melt her heart.
A flower.
A small kiss.
All or any, will turn her heart to joy.
Beyond pain.
It is most joyous when a mother sees her child
fulfilling the dreams she has had for them.
When the child is blessed the mother is blessed.
What a strange thing to see the hurt and pain of
birth so soon forgotten at just the sight of the new born child.
The hurt over your failures is forgotten with a
card, a kiss, or a hug.
Be
loved by mom.
Mom’s all want to give love and all we have to do
to satisfy that craving in their souls is to receive it!
We do not even have to bring a peace offering to
her to turn her heart, all that is necessary is a
smile on your lips.
The ministry of motherhood is a blessing sent by
God for all of us to treasure.
The best way to fulfill your mother’s ministry on
earth is to love as she loved you.
The
destroyer is out to destroy.
For awhile it looked like he was winning this
war, but know he is being turned back at every corner.
Even though some mothers have turned from the
high calling, most mothers have filled the calling to their best abilities.
Their hearts are still toward their children and
the children is still toward their mothers.
Gen 3:15: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman,
and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
The fingerprint of mom.
The fingerprint of your mother is your belly
button.
Every child born of a woman has a belly button.
All one need to do to remember where they came
from is to lift their shirts and observe their belly buttons.
Mothers love.
Mothers love through the pain of child birth.
Mothers love through dirty diapers.
Mothers love through teaching us to talk.
Mothers love through teaching us to walk.
Mothers love through teaching us about
Mothers love through our mistakes.
Mothers love through our victories.
Mothers love best when we love them.
Mothers love to love and be loved.
So love your mother today!
