SUBMISSION TO GOD
James 4:7 “Submit your selves therefore to God. Resist
the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Submitting to God is to resist doing anything that is in
opposition to the
known or written will of God.
o Yielding to a higher power.
o Obedience to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
o Obedience to the written Word of God.
God presents to us an alternative way to live our life and deal with life's
problems.
o The way of the world, is the natural way.
o The way of God, is the supernatural way.
These two are in direct opposition to each other.
If indeed we have made Jesus Lord of our life, we allow Him to direct the
course of our daily lives, by His methods, and not by those of the flesh or
the world.
JESUS SHOULD BE BOTH SAVIOR AND LORD.
If we call Jesus our Lord, and do not the things He
demands, we lie. For He is not the Lord over the issues of our daily lives. We
may know Jesus as Saviour, but have we granted Him Lordship and authority over
our personal daily lives?
WHO OR WHAT HAS FIRST PLACE IN YOUR LIFE?
When we yield to the pressure of what others think or
expect of us, more so than obedience to the Spirit of the living God, we
are condescending to the will of others.
When we allow what others have done to us, or the circumstances of our life, to
take first place in our lives, Jesus is not Lord. The one that has Lordship of
our lives is not God. It is rather, the circumstances or the will of men.
IF WE LOVE JESUS, WE MUST DO HIS WILL.
1John:2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we
keep his commandments.
We can prove our love of Christ by our obedience to His
commandments.
1. Jn:13:34-35 A new
commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples,
if ye have love one to another.
2. Mt:22:37-40
IF YOU CAN'T FOOL MOTHER NATURE BE ASSURED THAT
YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO FOOL THE FATHER GOD.
Gal:6:7: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap.
1. Rom12:1 I beseech
you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2: And be not conformed to this world: but be
ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that
ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.
3: For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every
man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to
think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the
measure of faith.
IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOU "THINK" ABOUT GOD'S
WORD, IT ONLY MATTERS WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS.
THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IS NOT BASED
ON YOUR DOINGS, BUT WHAT JESUS DID.
Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's
righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not
submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Luke
16:15 And he said unto them, Ye
are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for
that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God
WE CAN NOT SIN AND EXPECT TO GET AWAY FREE.
Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish,
disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and
envy, hateful, and hating one another.

6:7 Be not deceived; God is not

IF WE HEAR WHAT GOD
EXPECTS OF US AND DO NOT DO IT,
WE HAVE DECEIVED OURSELVES.

SUBMISSION WITHIN THE FAMILY UNIT
Ephesians 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the
first commandment with promise).
It does not say be dominated by to receive
direction in right living. There is a difference between forced slavery and
free will relationship.

5:22 Wives, submit yourselves
unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Colossians
3:18 Wives, submit yourselves
unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as
Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter
against them.
Ephesians 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the
fear of God.
SPIRITUAL RULES HAVE RULE OVER SPIRITUAL MATTERS.
Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit
yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that
they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
1Corinthains 16:16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to
every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
1Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto
the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with
humility: for God
resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
GOVERNMENTAL RULE IS TO BE FOLLOWED.

JESUS CAME FROM HEAVEN TO!
John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine
own will, but the will of him that sent me.
GOD HEARS
DOERS OF HIS WORD.
John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but
if any man be a
worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
NOW AND LATER, NOT JUST IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT.
2Thessalonians 3:4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching
you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
