Genesis 6:5: And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was
great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was
only evil continually.
Before the flood God’s appraisal of the human heart
was, “it was only evil, continually”. The
imagination of our heart sets the direction of our thinking and our thinking
invents ways to bring our imaginations into the natural realm. Because of the evil thoughts of mankind, God
brought the flood upon the whole earth.
John 8:44: Ye are of your father the devil, and the
lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode
not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he
speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Satan is the author, or father, of all evil, and he
tailors it to influence mankind’s actions.
He wraps his lies in enough truth that humans will accept them. Only humans have authority on earth. Satan exercises his will through the thought
life of people on earth.
Genesis 8:21 the LORD said in his heart” (that) “the imagination of man's heart is evil from
his youth.
The source of all evil released on this earth has
it’s origins in the heart of men. Evil does not just happen; it is first
imagined and then thought out in the heart.
All of us have done evil, but we tend to dismiss it as if, it just
happens. No evil we have ever done just
happened out of the clear blue. We first
imagine it in our heart, then we think it through with our minds, then we
implement it with our bodies.
Genesis 11:6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is
one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing
will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
At the tower of Babel, God said something very
important about the thinking process and human imagination. God stated that what ever we can imagine, we
can ultimately do. This sounds impossible, but remember, this is God speaking!
Job 21:27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully
imagine against me.
Psalms 94:11 The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they
are vanity.
1 John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in
wickedness.
Through the thoughts of man, wickedness is released
on earth. The Devil is exercising mind control tactics over all of the world.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 I pray God your whole
spirit and soul and body.
We are tri-part beings.
We are a spirit, we have a soul, and we live in a
body.
We function in the spiritual realm with our spirit.
We function in the intellectual realm with our soul.
We function in the natural realm with our bodies.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul
and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart.
The spirit (or heart) and soul (or mind) of man are
two quite different things. Through God’s Word we can discover how to divide
between our spirit and our soul. Only through the Word of God can we understand
the thoughts and intents of our hearts. With our spirit we reflect who is
leading us, good or evil, God or the Devil.
Prov:23:7 For as he (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he.
Prov:16:9 A man's heart
deviseth his way.
We become what we believe in our hearts. If we think
on sickness, failure, and fear that is what will rule or dictate our lives. If
we think on health, success, and faith, that is what will rule or dictate our
lives. You are what you think, either good or evil. Your life is the product of
what your thinking and believing to be true.
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my
ways,” saith the LORD.
Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof is the way of death.
We have two ways we can think; we can think like men
think or think like God thinks. We can do things the world’s way or we can do
things God’s way. A life dictated by the way the world thinks will lead to
failure, sickness, and ultimately death.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to (by) this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.
We are to renew our minds to God’s will.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
These are the things we are to think on. What are
you thinking about?
2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In
the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
Isaiah 28:10 For
precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon
line; here a little, and there a little.
These three biblical accounts prove the importance of
thoughts and the words we speak.
This is how one proves the truth of a teaching or
doctrine.
Number One:
Matthew 15:18-20 But those things which proceed out of the mouth
come forth from the heart (spirit); and they defile the man. For out of the
heart (spirit) proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications,
thefts, false witness, blasphemies: “These are the things which defile a man.
What is it that proceeds out of our mouth? Words are the carriers of the thoughts and
intents of our heart.
Number Two:
Mark 7: 20-23 And he said, That which cometh out of the man,
that defileth the man. For from within,
out of the heart (spirit) of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries,
fornications, murders, all these evil things come from within, and defile the
man.
The above list of evil things are all released out
of our mouths and they are what defile us. These all have their origins in the
spirit or heart of a person.
Number Three:
Luke 6:45 A good man, out of the good treasure of his heart (spirit), bringeth
forth that which is good; and an evil man, out of the evil treasure of his
heart (spirit), bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the
heart (spirit) his mouth speaketh.
Notice the role that our mouth plays in the kind of
life we have and live on this earth; Defeat, sickness, and failure are the
products of what we believe in our hearts and speak. If we have good treasure
in our hearts we will bring forth good in our lives. If we have evil treasure in our hearts we
will bring forth evil in our lives.
Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your
heart be also.
What kind of treasure does your life reveal?
Matthew 12:36 A good man, out of the good treasure of the
heart (spirit), bringeth forth good things: and an evil man, out of the evil
treasure, bringeth forth evil things.
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they
shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and
by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Notice the things that defile us are the words that
come out of our mouth.
Our words play a critical role in the kind of life
we live here on earth.
Proverbs 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth,
thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
Proverbs 12:13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his
lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
We need to pay much closer attention to the words we
speak, if these scriptures are really true!
The problems we have in this life are the result of the words we have
released.
Proverbs 21:23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue, keepeth
his soul from troubles.
Be very careful what you say, for your words will be
reproduced on the earth.
Life and death are in the
power of the tongue
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the
power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and
good, and death and evil;
We are to take action over the words we say if we
desire to see things change in our lives.
Our lives are the result of those things we believed
and then speak into existence.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it
are the issues of life.
We are to fill our hearts with God’s Word and speak
victory over our lives. God’s Words lead
to life, Satan’s words lead to death.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the
words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; without him was
not any thing made that was made. 4: In
him was life; and the life was the light of men.
The Word of God must have first place in your life.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Mark 11:23-24 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall
say unto this mountain, “Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea,” and
shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he
saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever
ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
We must be convinced that the words that come out
our mouth will come to pass. Only after
we are totally convinced will we have what we say. Remember to speak God’s words
and not your own, for we live by every Word of God.
Luke 8:11 The seed is the word
of God
Mark 4:14 The sower soweth the word.
God’s Word is the seed we sow with our mouths.
2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall
reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also
bountifully.
If we sow little of God’s Word we will reap little,
if we sow much of God’s Word we will reap much.
Galatians 6:7-8 Be not
deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also
reap. For he that soweth to his flesh
shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of
the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Words of the flesh lead to corruption, words of the
Spirit lead to life.
Matthew 13:37 He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the
words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of
the Spirit is spirit.
Jesus’ Words bring the new
birth and eternal life.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but
of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
We start a whole new life based on the Word of God.
2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same
spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I
spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.
We must speak what we believe if we are to receive
what we believe.
Romans 10:6 the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise; SayInG ‘in
thine heart’.
Giving breath to your faith produces life
everlasting.
Confess your faith and
receive a whole new life!
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Is
this what you believe in your heart? -- If so
speak it and live!
Luke 6:45 for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
What have you been putting in your heart lately?
Have a God-day,
