new today
Well, good news at work -- our company was bought out by one that I think is going to be really great. SI International bought out SEITechnologies, and that means that there will be a whole lot more that they can offer us in terms of job opportunities, which is exactly what my hubby and I have been looking for. I am really excited to see what happens.

I am also getting back into my writing, which I have put off for far too long. Hopefully, I can pull out my book in the near future and finally get it finished. That would be great!

Other than that, I am hoping to get my websites updated soon as well -- Jim has been encouraging me to get them going again, which is very sweet of him :D -- what a Great guy I have. I love him very much!

What a welcome home....
...after 4 beautiful days in sunny southern California, Jim and I step off the plane into cold wind and rain, yuck!!

Anywho.... We had a great time in San Diego. I had never been there before, but I can see why it is one of my husband's favorite places on earth. We went to the zoo, which, even without the animals, is an amazing place to visit. There were tons of bright flowers everywhere, bamboo that had to be 200 feet tall (I kid you not) and the largest cactus I've ever seen in my life (took a picture of me standing in front of it, and I felt like a dwarf, lol). Spent a day at the waterfront, which was very cool. Jim had a blast there. The Maritime Museum included the "H.M.S. Surprise", which is the ship "Master and Commander" was filmed on. We went out to Sea World on Monday, and I got to see a manatee up close, which has always been a dream of mine. Last but not least, I got to see the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. It was amazing, and getting to see it with the love of my life was even more special to me.

Well, time to go. We took lots of pics, and I will try to get them up on the site when we get them back from being developed.

Two days to go until the big day ---

Saturday, Jim and I will be getting married here, and then will take off on our honeymoon to Vegas over the Columbus Day weekend. I finally have my dress finished and the cake baked, but I forgot to order my bouquet earlier in the week (lol)

I cannot wait -- as I will be marrying my soul mate! I never thought that was something I would ever get to say in my lifetime. I thank God every day for bringing Jim into my life, and I will be forever greatful that after years of just missing one another, we finally managed to be in the right place at the same time.

Been MIA
Sorry I haven't updated in a while. This is the first time in over a month that I've been anywhere NEAR the internet, lol.

To say things in my life have changed is such an
understatement.

I have, quite literally, met and fallen in love with the man of my dreams. =) (More info on that later, lol) We are currently busy looking for a house and planning a fall wedding. I cannot wait!

I've been Inked
After hem-hawing around for a year after deciding what it was I wanted have done, I finally got my first tattoo. It didn't hurt even a fraction of what I thought it might, and I was surprised that it barely bled at all.

I will post a pic as soon as I have one available. (Our scanner is being a bitch, so I need to find someone who has a digital cam I can borrow, lol.) For those that would like to see what I had done before then, here is a photocopy of the design. It is called a 'lockenbooth' which is a Scottish good luck charm.

Pretty cool, eh?? And it's my 34th birthday to boot!! I will have to wait until the end of the week to get my present, but I will try to post pics when I get it done (Jules knows what I'm referring to)

I made it through the first week back on days without falling asleep by lunchtime, lol. It really hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be, but then, I'm usually pretty flexible in that way =)

It's looking like it's going to be one heck of a month. So many things have been planned for this month, and I have to keep checking that I haven't double-booked anything, lol.

I've been working on something for a special someone, and I've almost gotten it finished. Although, I'm sure I will find something wrong with it and have to start all over again, lol!!
