Idle Thoughts

Wow
... I am truely blown away -- more people read this thing than I thought. (kind of makes me feel bad that I don't have time to write more on here, but that should be changing after the first of the month) Thanks to everyone for their well-wishes for my grandma. I haven't had a chance to call and see how she's doing, but I will update you all as soon as I do =)

We have a new additon to the family. Friday, we got a hampster for the kids. Still yet to be named (Tara calls her 'Baby Girl'), she seems to be doing okay, but then again, the kiddies haven't been able to take her out of the cage and hold her yet. (God help me the first time I have to hunt thru the house for a run-a-way rodent)

Well, best be going -- need sleep before work this afternoon

Grrrrrrrrrrr
Ever wonder, why it is that in a half empty parking lot, no other cars near yours and you're getting ready to leave, some IDIOT pulls in RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, forcing you to back out of the spot you could have pulled straight out of just seconds earlier?????? And then, the driver stares at you like you have green hair or something!!!!!

Sheesh!!!

What a way to start my day off. Oh well, I'm off to work on Joe *bg* hehehehehehe.....

Please Send Good Thoughts
Today is the day my grandmother starts her chemotherapy for her pancreatic cancer. So, I'm asking you (few) that read this to send thoughts/prayers/good vibes her way.

Those of you who know me fairly well, know that my grandmother is the woman who has always inspired me and encouraged me to 'go for it' and to have the courage to do the things I've been interested in doing.

The treatment isn't going to cure her this time (unfortunately) but it is supposed to prolong the time we have with her.

Is there a Prozac shortage??
I'm serious!!

Everyone seems to be on the rag lately. The women in the shoe department at KMart, supervisors at work and the idiots in charge down where my hubby works.

Is it a moon phase? Is it just the winter 'blahs'? Or has everyone just lost their flippin' minds??!!??

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another day, another...
long night ahead of me.

It's my day off, but after WWIII broke out between my hubby and his mother, I will be working whatever overtime I can in order to 'pay back' the money she says we owe her (most of which is comprised of things she bought on her own and gave us without asking for them. I really don't mind the work so much, but I have something else much more important to spend the money on instead of placating a middle aged woman who is capable of getting a JOB!!!!

Got my hair cut yesterday. Hubby says it looks like 80's hair. I think it's cute. ..... besides, I liked my hair in the late 80's (lmao)

And I've started a new book that I just bought called "Girls' Poker Night' by Jill A Davis. I'm only 4 pages into it, but I knew after reading the third paragraph that I was going to like it =)

Well, I'm off again for now -- will catch up with you again in a few days...

walking zombies

I guess I should update this a little bit, since I haven't done so in a week.

Eh!! Working 3:30 to 2am is for the birds!!!
It's not the hours or the work that get to me. It's the fact that I've only gotten 4 hours of sleep each day since I switched shifts. (Hence, the zombie reference.) At least I can console myself with the knowledge that there are 40 others who are in the same boat with me =)

Well, what's new -- I have scribbled down a few more lines to Everyday, I have the laundry caught up, and am working on a couple of little beading projects. (If I ever get a digicam or hubby fixes the scanner, I will set up a page to show off my wares, lol)

Oh, and I've come up with a new personal motto that I am going to start using:

IMAGINE, INSPIRE, LIVE

3-day weekend??
This is supposed to be a 3-day weekend at work -- except for the fact that they have us all working Manditory overtime, which means that several of us have to work on Saturday. (Don't even get me started on next week's 4-hours or the 8 we were told we'd have to work the week after, this after being told we'd only have manditory for 1 week-- yeah right)

At least I will have some of the day to spend with the hubby and kids -- it is Valentine's day, after all
