Please save someone else.
Don't waste time
nor effort
not even a breath
on some needle
that can't be found
on a mortally
wounded heart.

Twas an illusion anyway
the shadow of a soul
which no longer existed
kind
in its time
loving
if imperfectly
with a flawed heart
from the outset
one in need
of merciful relief.

A facade
so effective
so proudly upheld
slowly decaying
to eventual death
a Potemkin Village
which noone
was allowed to see
but from afar.
