I live 150 miles from the place you are about to see. I am in the center of the largest valley in the world. But that is not and never can be home. THIS is Home.
This is the view of Home from the top of the ridge. The elevation is 7800 feet where we are standing when we took these pictures. Base camp is a mile or 2 below us at 7350 elevation. The second peak from the left is the Face of Thunder. Thunder Mountain.
Thunder Mountain close up from the lake at base camp, at 7350 feet elevation.
This is the view of base camp after we struck camp. I have my back turned 180 degrees from the previous picture.
This is the bridge over Cat's Paw Creek. This is the head of the trail to Yeti's Glen. which is my Home. There are no pictures of Yeti's Glen. I am banned and cannot return there or I will die. So says my doctor, anyway. You will see a small shadow on the tree stump on the left. that's a chipmunk who meets us at the head of the trail every time we visit and leads us in. He is Tajer's representative. Tajer is the spirit of the forest.
This is the view of the lake from the trailhead. The cabin is the same one you see in the previous picture. The elevation here is 8200 feet.
This is my tree at the trailhead camp at Silver Lake. My twin is here, and remains with the mountain when I cannot. This tree is the only remaining physical connection I have to that dead twin. Once when I was 11 yrs old, someone tried to chop this tree down. I was 300 miles away and felt the pain from the blow of the ax. The scar in the tree is on a level with the pain I had in my flank. But it is hidden by shadows. My spirit bond to my husband (our first wedding) occurred here. I am connected to this tree by a spirit force I can't easily explain. when I am in the Circle with my tree, no one else can enter. They get zapped by the energy that flows from the tree to me and back again. My husband is the only other person who could ever step into the circle while I was with my sister and my tree. And he even felt the flow of that energy into me.
