HOW TO GET LISTED BY YAHOO - WITHIN DAYS!
Yahoo! & Google Merge!
How to List Your Site?
by Michael Puccino

A while back Yahoo! dropped Inktomi and picked up Google
for use in its default searches. This means that Google picks up
searches where Yahoo's primary human-reviewed directory
leaves off.

Google's database now includes over one billion
entries, which is reportedly the largest collection of Web sites on
the Internet. It just plainly means that placing well on a Google
search is of great importance.

Yahoo! comments:

"Yahoo! Search has been upgraded to provide a faster, more relevant
search. New features include:

Inside Yahoo! - giving direct access to relevant information within
the Yahoo! Network.

Most Popular Sites - giving easy access to some of the most prominent
sites on the Web.

Google technology - serving as a complement to Yahoo's directory and
navigational guide."

Go to Google and enter your URL. If you don't show up, go to this
page:
www.google.com/addurl.html

Add your main page URL -- Google will crawl and index the rest of
your site from there. You can place some keywords in the
"Comments" section, but this will not affect how you are listed.

If you rank poorly, take a look at your meta tags and optimize
your page for keywords and description.

Tip:
Unless you want to pay the $199 for Yahoo's
Business Express program, you may have experienced the
following: submit, wait a couple months, submit again, wait a
couple months...no listing, no explanation. It's recently come to
light that Yahoo's editors will reject your site if they cannot find
a business address, so make sure to include your address in an
easy-to-find place on your Web site.

Since Yahoo, by far, delivers the most search engine-generated
traffic, a good ranking could have a significant effect on your
Web site traffic, which should in turn generate a wealth of new
inquires and customers to your site. Good luck!
